They main writer is doing a new series for Netflix which hasn’t came out yet which is why the essence of power is sord of fading we know it’s a spin off to power but can we get some of that same energy of suspense and connection with the characters please!!!! Listen I love Tariq character and the the actor is very talented but in my opinion we need the original writers to continue to be hands on… I would hate to see some of the original characters get watered down!! Power was raw and the most life like series I’ve seen in a long time and we need to continue to have that same energy!!!!

I said the same thing. The guilt of just shipping off your first born and telling everyone that he’s your nephew will make you do anything to make up for that. I thought there were 1 too many love interests for Tariq at once. Based on the way Effie was givin Diana game…I see a parallel with Tasha. With Lauren I see that Angela parallel. I see them both sticking around long term. But then again…Lauren could be next to go…as Angela was! leaving effie & diana to play the two ride or die roles…especially after the convo they had at the boutique about not fkn Tariq. I see the Tasha Angela parallel more so in that dynamic that anywhere else. But I dooo think of all the interests rn, Effie is the most expendable character…based on the direction of the show as it is currently. Given her history with Tariq makes her existence worth while. Her mysterious connections leave a story to be told. So! it should be very interesting to see what happens to either Diana or Lauren’s character. What happens this season has a really big influence on the route this sect of the show can go.

I went back to S1 E1 and realized that Zeke told Tariq that he’s staying with his aunt and cousins but they are more like brothers and sister. A foreshadowing we didn’t even catch. Even Cane told Mecca Zeke is a cousin but family (like their inner family mother and her children).

I don’t like Zeke so I never cared.

Cane has to be on Lorenzo's side because Monet is going to find out eventually, that Cane stole those drugs from Tariq and his friend to work with Mecca. Cane will need major protection at that point.

Even last season, the way Monet treated Cane was indicative to me that 1.) either she still resented his actual father 2.)Lorenzo talking to Cane after he was beaten down and referring to Monet as "my wife" instead of your mother also tipped me off.

I didn’t find Lorenzo to be cold. He understandably didn’t want to mortgage the house but he was ok with her taking the money out of the safe. She never told him there was no money on the safe. I don’t understand why Diana had to hide from her mother that she wanted to pay a lawyer to look into her father’s case. Him getting out is a benefit to the whole family. Then again, Monet never agrees with any of Diana’s suggestions.
