After my mother died, for some reason, Devil's Night started blasting inside my head and it kept like that... weird thing is that I know she is gonna "visit" me if in my head Devil's Night starts playing... may I have the lyrics? english is not my first language and I can't seem to figure out what it says,
Zeke beats every other rock/ punk band with their RIDICULOUS POWER OF SPEED and their PERFECT TIMING & ACCURACY!!! 🤘 🤘 😎 This band works on the SPEEED OF A LIGHTNING!!!! 💨 💨 💨
Ride with Zeke!!! Love them since "Super Sound Racing" came out here as an Import!!! Saw them two times here in germany and they were so awesome!!! one time with RC5 on a date in my hometown on the Death Alley Tour and they broke up after that show!!!! Got my Hellbender CD here right now to Blow some Rock N' Roll!!! Zeke Heil!!!
Fu Manchu, ZEKE, The Acüssed, BL'AST, Black Flag, Bad Brains, RIPCORD, Face To Face, Dropkick Murphys,GWAR And Iron Reagan Are My Soundtrack To Ride On My Skateboard 🛹
There has been zero musical progress here since Zeke's early efforts-- & inna case of a combo like Zeke, that's a GOOD thing. Fer the most part, when bands like these "evolve", it usually involves workin with some mainstream producer who scrubs em down, shines em up & sands away alla jagged edges. With "Hellbender", Zeke is keeping the faith, not bein unambitious... look what "progress" did to Turbonegro...
MrRetroentertainment] Wow!!! I'm happy for you. You know where I live and you're making me feel bad...😂😂😂😂. It's 2:09am in the morning over there, why aren't you sleeping!!!!?!!
Fu**in' great venomous speed sound as usual. One of my fave band ever, too bad I've been only once at one of their show and I was too busy makin' out with a fu**in' s*ut... I've missed the whole show! ♤
Thanks to this album, Zeke now has two songs called "Two Lane Blacktop," they're both completely different. One's on their split with Peter Pan Speedrock (the better one IMHO) and now this one. It's one thing to rerecord the same song for a newer album, that's cool, but this? You know you're running out of ideas when you feel the need to recycle your own song titles. Kinda sums up Hellbender in a nutshell. The band had a kind of creative renaissance when Death Alley and Til The Livin End came out, and then they just stopped. The material recorded during this time was some of their best ever, including all of the songs that would later be released on various EPs and Splits, etc. This is the best album they could muster up after 13/14 years?! I enjoyed Redline, especially the breakdown at the end. Reminded me of Til the Livin End actually, which had plenty of those sudden, unpredictable changes in tempo/direction. Redline is pretty much the only exciting moment on this record. Devil's Night is another "highlight" of sorts. I was hoping they would pick up where they left off. So much for that. Not even ONE "Ever Onward," or "Lord Of The Highway," "Black Witch," "Arkansas Man" or something like that? Their slower songs have proven to be every bit as intense and exciting as their faster ones. None of the music on Hellbender is bad IMO, it's just uninspired. I'm definitely disappointed.
Couldn't agree more about Death Alley and Til' the Livin' End, those two albums are by far Zekes best. Death alley had some great metal influences, I wish Marky would start a metal band it'd be interesting to hear his take on something like a black and roll style
