As a guy who watches ZERO college football every year I'm not even going to begin pretending like I know anything about how good the drafts were. All I know is that muh Boys needed O-Line and D-Line help and they drafted O-Line and D-Line, so, assuming those players pan out (who knows?) that's a positive.

Sean McVay just hired an assistant for One Reason Only: sometimes, in close games his play-calling is affected by his stress & goes wrong. "Gee, I wonder if there are An Other HCs for whom this also is true?" Yeah & McCarthy & Sean McDermott are the two most obvious ones. In fact, we only know of one active HC who _doesn't_ do this, Andy Reid. We haven't seen enough to know if Demeco Ryans does or doesn't do this yet. Stefanski does it a little only. But the thing about it is, it's a stress reaction that sets of Full Panic. Once you're in a little it, a full-on Fight or Flight response is inevitable. So it's a HUGE factor in most HCs & possibly The Only Reason the Bills haven't been to a S-B with Allen & aren't likely to ever get there. So the Bills should do what McVay did. Hire someone who stands on the sidelines & scowls at McD when he exhibits those outwards signs that he is 1) about to take over All The Play-calling & 2) call The Worst, simplest plays he knows & let the other team make a great comeback &/or stall his own offense out. He takes over on Both Sides of the ball. Please & thank you Bills management.
