i would say, the human form of the kokiri in oot is, that link don't feel that much out of place ... because the deku tree did know of his destiny all along ...

From E3 we saw quite a large portion of the map, albeit from a large distance. We know that the desert is the bottom left, the canyons/mesa/utah is just north of it. Then there's a zone we never saw, and north of that in the far upper left is snowpeak. Just right of there is another mystery, followed by Death Mountain, followed by an area that is unknown but there are several smaller mountain peaks visible, so probably not a forest. Beyond that there is still one more column, the far right, which was entire unseen at E3. However, the first footage we ever got is rumored to be on that side of the overworld somewhere, and we don't see any major forest zones in the direction the footage was shot, so that's not a likely area for it either, although there have been several other changes since then so who knows how accurate that shot is anymore. Finally we have the lower right area, which is shown somewhat during TGS 2014. Again, no major indication of the forest in the northward facing footage, so the only place it could really be is south of there. With all of that accounted for, we are left with about 3-4 areas that could potentially have the forest: -north of utah south of snowpeak -due east of snowpeak -the far northeastern zone -the far southeastern zone Like you said, bottom right would tie it in with the forest locations in other games, so I'd say that's the most likely area for it to be. You'll also notice in TGS they went from just north of that area, around somewhere in the center of the map, and arrived near lake Hylia (just west of the area we're trying to see). In all of these shots, they almost never point the camera in the direction of the zone we want to see. And when they do, there's often large cliff faces keeping them from getting there. My bet is that there's only one entrance, and it's not an easy one to find. After all, the Great Deku tree and the master sword are both there. Some other things to mention related to the video: -The flower from the logo and by the sword is also in the shot where the logo is shown. A single flower is in the bottom right. That shot was clearly taken near twin peaks (but we aren't sure of which side). If the lower right theory is correct, that shot may be on the right side of twinpeak, and those flowers are indicators of going in the right direction to reach the forest. -The deku seeds most likely aren't related to the flower, and like others have suggested are most likely the replacement for gold skulltulas. Turning them in to the Great deku tree will reward you, maybe even with passage to the master sword chamber? Or maybe it unlocks the Hero's tunic, seeing as how it has always had ties to the forest. -Again pulling from the very first reveal footage, we all saw the white, castle town like zone in the background of the shot. At the time most people theorized that this was Hyrule. However, now that we've seen the real castle, and also seen it's location, we can guarantee that this white structure is different. It looks nothing like what we now know Hyrule to be, and more importantly, it's in the upper right of the world, on the right side of twinpeak. This puts it WAAY away from where Hyrule castle is now. Again, that footage was super early, so maybe that WAS hyrule before they changed it up. But all we know for sure is that it ISN'T Hyrule casle town in the most recent build of the game. It's either gone or some other city. Maybe Some sort of new Hyrule, where people fled after the calamity?

+Zeltik Nice work! But, just gotta say- you suggested the wrong side of the map for the forested location. Even in the demo you can see that direction is Gerudo desert. But on the bottom right side of the map is likely where forests will be. It follows Twilight Princess (Faron woods) and Ocarina of Time (Kokiri forest) and even Windwaker (Forest Haven). That corner, unless in a flipped version(wii ect.), is the forest corner of the map, above it the mountain/volcano. To the top left the frozen peaks, below it in the bottom left is the Desert.

D'oh. I actually made a map awhile ago where I labelled the sections, not sure why I goofed and put the forest there! :P

All good man haha, Spectacular analysis though! I absolutely love the connection to princess mononoke! I never related the two despite obviously knowing they are forest spirits :)

Also I think it's Jack and the Beanstalk style. Once you collect all the seeds you plant them and then a giant beanstalk grows and then you can get to the island in the sky. But these koroks could be ANYWHERE in the game so it would take ages to find all the seeds! So perhaps it's like a sidequest like the bugs/poe souls in Twilight Princess. They could be linked to the flower but I don't think that the flower is a pivotal object since it's such a workout to find all the seeds.

I'm pretty sure they made clear that WW takes place in a land without a hero, like what? Would he die at the end of BotW or something?

+Captain Olimar Well what I'm suggesting is that that legend told in the beginning of WW is the story of how Calamity Ganon came to be, and rendered the Land of Hyrule in the desecrated state we see in BotW. The coming of a hero AFTER the fall of the kingdom and, as I said, the eventual rebirth of Ganondorf, note not Ganon, is why the kingdom would be eventually flooded. With few to no people left to think that the evil was vanquished by a hero leads to the legend. So yes, I do think the ending will be bittersweet and possible quite sorrowful with an almost loss for the hero.

If memory serves me well, when you go ack to the deaku tree as an adult and go behind his withered trunk, you'll find a sapling for a new deku tree.

Maybe it's a collection side quest similar to the Gold Skulltulas in Ocarina of Time. Maybe The Great Deku Tree is worried about the Koroks and the seeds are proof of their safety.

Maybe they unlock the Deku Tree? Or if the Time Travel theory is true, (stretching it here!) what if you used them to plant trees, or even the Deku Tree in the Past like Magic Beans?

OOO maybe Link travels back 100 years with all the seeds to plant the Deku Tree and then goes back to the future where the tree is fully grown!
