Congratulations for 5000 subscribers! Your arrangements are beyond impressive; your timing and taste for each piece is spot on. I'd say you're easily comparable to the bigger piano channels like Animenz XD
You know I hate when people say “video games are a waste of time” I can see where some are but The Legend of Zelda was worth every minute I spent playing. Mostly because the imagination it inspired in me and most of all the music. The game is the reason I bought a quality ocarina to learn to play and want to learn piano so I can play Ganon’s tower theme. Majorca’s mask and Ocarina of time were masterpieces and the music is what fuels my care for those games to this day. God Bless Koji Kondo.
Lost an old friend in a car accident a couple days ago and he’s who got me into Ocarina of Time back when we were about 5 years old. This brought back so many wonderful memories. Needless to say I was full blown sobbing by the middle of Great Fairy’s Fountain. Thank you so much, this music means a great deal to me.
I'm not even exaggerating. This is absolute perfection, and I'm so happy you made and shared this. The transition between pieces and those beautiful runs... my nostalgic heart is so happy right now ;v; ♡ Happy early 5k - I can't wait to hear what you come up with next! ♡♡♡
I love how the dynamic transition between Great Fairy's Fountain and Lost Woods happens. A heavy, intense atmospheric melody of the most pure beauty becomes a cheerful, fast paced translation piece of a child trying to comprehend his true place in the world.
Probablemente esto se pierda en la inmensidad de comentarios, pero siempre al escuchar éstas melodías me invade una gran nostalgia, de cuando solía disfrutar las cosas, de cuando se solía ser más feliz, de cuando la vida se veía más sencilla.
I saw the synthesia version of this first and I thought " Well this clearly isnt meant to be played by human hands, just by a program." Then I clicked the "Link"(Get it?lol) that led me here and now im not sure if im in awe, in love, or suspicious you may not have human hands. Probably all three though. This is beautiful and incredible, you are seriously talented. And thanks for taking me back to my childhood!
I have legit watched this over 200x and still cannot believe a human being on planet earth could play that blindingly luxurious great fairy fountain theme
Man this got me in tears for real, my whole childhood and good memories all came back... Thanks my man, i'll remember this, you have my deepest gratitude
chryobyte ive never even played this game. first time I heard it I went crazy wondering what it’s called so I can hear it again. I wonder what it is about it that makes it naturally nostalgic
@@chrisreyes6672 dude, I remember playing Ocarina Of Time on an an emulator on my mom's Samsung tablet when I was like 7, and from there on out I got so nostalgic any time I heard certain Zelda songs, like the opening title for OOT and the original Zelda theme. You really missed out on your childhood but you can still get multiple emulators on certain sites and ROM's to play any classic Nintendo/console game you want
Falling down an ulcer, but never falling down the right one. Then having to pick up the spoiled princess like a 1000 times all while trying not to get electrocuted by giant electric flying jellyfish. Then having to beat a miniboss that was 10x harder than the main boss. Yes I raged lmao. 🤣
i am always so impressed and in awe of your takes and reharmonizations/covers/whatever the appropriate musical term is for how you interpret already composed music and make it your own. it's always really exciting and interesting and beautiful -- i legitimately lost my breath at the great fairy's fountain theme! i loved this, thank you for sharing it with us.
This is so beautiful! This makes me wish I was alive when Oot came out! However, I love this game as much as the people who were around at the time! Still plays an important role in my childhood! Knowing that someone has dedication and talent to recreate the beauty of Zelda music truly makes me so happy! Keep up the great work!
it pleases me that people who weren't even born when LOZOOT was released still see it as the amazing game it was (people other than my daughter who is 8 and fricken loves the game :) )
I'm also a huge fan of Oot, even though I was born in 2003. I still play it to this day on the Wii Shop Channel port with a GameCube controller. The game is great, and the music is even better.
Be thankful you were alive when Breath of the Wild came out! For all the nostalgia OoT has attached to it, I consider them equally great! You can't beat OoT for atmosphere and amazing design, but the world and game design of BotW is unparalleled.
I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the game. I was quite young when it came out and never got past the third dungeon at the time, eventually decided to do a full run of the game a few years back and still loved it.
I was starting to think "hey! I could maybe play this!" And then fairy fountain happened. Legit beautiful medley though! Gonna be listening to this for a while!
Dont let that dishearten you if you have a passion for it. You practice that one song you will learn it. It just take a long time. I learnt to play a song called tarantella and i am terrible at reading sheet music.
This was absolutely wonderful!! So many of your transitions had me in actual tears, it was absolutely lovely! Thank you so much for sharing it with the world
Your technique and finesse on the piano prove mastery over her. It was such a joy to hear these songs that I have grown up played with such skill. Keep it up!
I've always loved Zelda's soundtrack but you just took it to another level oh my god it's so beautiful. You do an amazing job, keep going at it, I love your arrangements!
I’ll be honest, I never played ocarina of time, but just hearing the music makes me wish I did. I never really listen to game soundtracks but Zelda has some of not the best music, and that’s why it’s so memorable. You here these songs and you remember when you were young and the only thing that mattered was you just got the new legend of Zelda for your Nintendo 64 and you feel that happiness, that joy of getting to play another adventure. Just the other day I beat dark souls remastered and I cried, because as i killed gwyn, the song reminded of my first time playing the game, and how happy I felt when I finally beat gwyn after so many days of trial and error. It showed me that gaming isn’t just about graphics and cool features, but the soundtrack and emotional ties to everything. When I played the last of us, I barley shed a tear, but when I finally finished off the souls series I cried. But just hearing this games soundtrack and all other games in the legend of Zelda series I gives me that sense of emotional ties, even though I’ve only played twilight princess and breath of the wild. Recently I’ve been noticing that’s games are going downhill, as in games are just getting more boring now. Like with every shooter, pick the biggest gun and shoot anything that moves is the way to play. We need a company, or anyone really, to bring gaming back to what it was, about making memories with your friends and emotional ties to the games that we all love to play. I’ll even say we need another Zelda like series but with it’s own originality, we’re the music brings you in and the characters lock you into the game, or like dark souls were the true emotional value is prevailing against all odds and giving you that sense to keep going no matter what. Now I just realized I wrote this in less time than my school English final, which isn’t very shocking.
Games aren't going downhill. You're just stupid. There are more companies making games than at any time in the past with more quality control than any time in the past and now a huge flourishing market of indie studios. Games are getting better and better you just aren't looking in the right places. The same studios don't make good games in perpetuity it has never been like that. Not a single studio has the rep it had 10, or even 20 years ago. If you just stick to the same games yeah you will notice they might decline in quality or you might get bored of exhaustion but games are not getting worse. Even with the bad shit the industry has now for problems it will never be like the video game crash which was caused by 0 fucks 0 quality control 0 variety.
It’s a shame how saturated the world is with superstar pianists like yourself; it must be difficult to stand out in the piano community. This was beautiful thank you so much for sharing!
You're saying if I quit playing the video games so much... and invested the time in to learning the piano... I too, could achieve this skill...? Interesting.
Men, you make me cry lol xd, I'm so grateful that you made this medley, thanks to you I've start to remember all those peaceful days with my nintendo 64 when I was kid, You're great!
That Title theme will forever send me straight into my childhood. That first time I ever discovered this game and booted it up. It would set the stage for the rest of my life
As a musician, Its been a very long time since a piece has made me weep. I didn't cry playing graduation for my upper-classmen friends. I didn't cry at the conclusion of my last parade in high school, I didn't cry playing red river valley on the anniversary of my friends death. I was ugly crying a few measures into the title theme
You are truly a fantastic pianist. I love that you always try to post sheet music! I really hate it when pianists are stingy with their sheets and demand $15+ for a single song, or won't offer them at all. You are one of the very few who is really looking out for fellow pianists and that's something I really admire. Keep it up!
Yeah I hate it when people charge exorbitant amounts for a single song. Though I don't know when I'll find to write this one down. I haven't even started the sheets.
Wow, this has one of the most drastic like-dislike ratios I've ever seen. 3.1K likes (as of writing) to 10 dislikes. Btw, who in their right mind would dislike this?
This is probably the 20th time I’ve listened to this over the years and it never fails to amaze me. I always start to tear up in the end. Absolutely phenomenal
Thank you very much for this beautiful, nostalgic moment! It‘s unbelievable how good the soundtrack of zelda ocarina of time was, as a kid i didn‘t realized it.
