As someone who actually really likes the previous TOTK teasers, I can wholeheartedly say that *this* is the earth-shattering trailer we’ve been waiting for, the one to compete with BOTW’s trailers. They’ve finally met their match. The ABSURD MUSIC, the INSANE environments and gameplay mechanics that I can’t even begin to ponder the details of, and more. THAT was it. And we’re now under a month away. Insane.💚
One of the best Nintendo trailers I think I've seen to date. Absolutely intense musical scoring and shot pacing makes this feel like a minute when it's really four!
I haven’t felt this much excitement for something since my wife was 8 months pregnant If i play it as much as I plan, I may be the one who needs diaper changes.
The music for this trailer is just phenomenal. The way that they blend the modern and classic themes is just amazing. It genuinely made me so excited that I teared up
I hope this means there will be more active musical themes rather than only minimalist environmental flairs. I just want a proper story like TP and SS and proper main dungeons.
@@Snoop_Dugg It seems like Twilight Princess has some very minor musical hints here and there, such as after the title pops up near the end. You can hear a portion of the Hyrule Field theme playing slowly. It could be far fetched but there will likely be connections due to Ganondorf's return. He is, in fact, the same guy from TP after all. Same scars and everything. He might even remember his defeat from that time and times before that. It's strange that he never seems to comment on it, despite having experienced it many times from the same guy.
I bet Zeltik is going to spend the next 24 hours going through the trailer frame by frame, preparing to give us a video about this trailer. I can't wait to hear the more in depth thoughts!
One thing I haven't seen mentioned much is how passionate and excited Aonuma was in this presentation. Since the first teaser trailer for this game, he's always appeared stoic and formal but today was such a refreshing feeling to see him use his hands as he spoke and show excitement for players to get a hand on the game.
Something interesting to note, we actually see 3 tears in this trailer: one on Zelda, one on the person talking to her (the stone on his hand glows similarly to the tear she’s wearing on her neck), as well as Sidon on his hand. Assuming all of the other “new champions” (Yunobo, Riju, and Teba’s son) and Link (for obvious reasons) each get one, that makes up 7 tears which is the number on the mural in the 1st official trailer.
Ganondorf has one in his headdress as well. You can't make it out in the trailer because it's too low-quality, but on Twitter a screenshot was posted of this moment and it is very clearly a tear. Someone was saying that Ganondorf could be the "Eighth Heroine."
I'm glad they showed Riju and Sidon and I think that was Teba's son, though I do wonder where Yunobo is - it also looked in one scene like Link was fighting a Goron? Or at least dodging one. However, the big NPC I most still need confirmation of is KASS. I really hope he's back in this game!
One of the Goron weapons is barely visible in that shot with Riju, Sidon, and Teba’s son. He may be injured from all the stuff going on at death mountain so maybe that’s why they didn’t show him
I don't think it was a goron, if you slow it down this thing has chains and a weird body texture that doesn't match the gorons. Since we're going to be potentially going underground near or at Death Mountain, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a dodongo
Guys I think one of the biggest lore drops we just saw was that the Zonai aren’t Hylian! That gray green lizardish creature is probably a Zonai, so it’s a new race!!!
It could also be a mix of races ala the Twili like people have been speculating. If you look at the people standing behind the lizard man, one of them has birdlike talon feet and the other has more standard humanlike feet.
They're more like satyrs, bipedal goat people with short fur. They actually bear a pretty striking resemblance to Satori in a lot of ways, minus the glow effect on the fur.
Something I noticed, during the events that transpired before SS, the humans were cowering in fear, unable to fight, and hylia sent them all into the sky, while the rest of the races banded together to fight demise and his demons. What we are seeing here, however, is the hylians fighting back against ganon and his army along with the other tribes. And seeing as the hylians are not being sent into the sky, among many other things, I think it is pretty safe to say we are not seeing the birth of a cyclical timeline here.
@@joshuawalters7520 I think there might be multiple entities working here. Both Demise and Ganondorf. Did you see the fully restored castle? The timeline is mucked or something.
@@joshuawalters7520 demise could definitely make a return aswell as hylia, and I believe they will, but I don't think that means totk is a prequel to SS.
Zeltik's reaction was the same as all of ours. Calm, cool analysis that lasted about 30 seconds until we all descended into "What the crap?! That's amazing!"
That honest and sincere "Wh-h-h-what?!" at 02:27 is literally the sound my brain was making during the entire trailer. I can't wait to play this masterpiece. Always love to see your reactions Zeltik, you're the Zelda Master in my book! Cheers!
He's The Real World Link! What I Want To Know Is Who Will Win,Galaxia Kirby From Amazing Mirror Or Link With The Golden Sword From Link To The Past!Who Do You Think Will Win?!
@@saturos53 Galaxia Kirby(Master) Has Every Sword Move In Kirby History Up To That Point,Including Final Cutter!I Think He Would Shred Link! Also Morpho Knight Sword(Forgotten Land)Vs Four Sword Link(Minish Cap)Would End The Same Way IMO!
Did you notice the references to Twilight Princess? The main theme played at the title drop is the same as in tp, and the piano at the end sounds like the main melody of midnas lament/tp main theme. I also think that the ruins rising out of gerudo desert are the arbiters' grounds. Hopefully we get a good amount of twilight princess stuff this game
The green lines on the new zelda switch along with the way the corruption on link's arm looks can be a refrence to the twili as their portals have the same paterns
I was thinking this too! My theory for a while has been that the Twili were members of the Zonai who went too far and were sealed away in the Twilight Realm, and I think the new type of person we see at 2:34 is a Zonai. Maybe they have been hiding underground?
In the previous game piano was the main sound of the game. Perhaps the most «down to earth» instrument, right? Now we are elevated up to the skies and woodWIND instruments seems to have taken over. The main melody piano has been replaced with what sounded very, very much like the legendary Kazuki Katsuta and his saxophone! A wonderful choice - once again and as always - from the music producers and composers!
I'm finally officially hyped for this game. I had faith they would give us something epic, but this is the first trailer since 2019 to really get me excited. Sidon and Riju's appearances had me squealing.
Just think of all the joy, happiness and good vibes being created and pouring into the world by all us Zelda fans,i never thought i,d feel the same as i did when i watched the Breath of the Wild trailer but here we are six years later and all these emotions and swirling around my head once again,i am so overjoyed by this and not afraid to say i have been crying tears of joy watching this trailer over and over.
your reaction was so genuine it made me so happy. i’ve been watching this channel for a while, ever since tears of the kingdom was first teased. it’s been a long time, but i’m so excited! thanks for what you do!
I wasn't sold on Ganondorf's voice until that all-out primal roar sent me straight back to Twilight Princess. I already pre-ordered the game but I'm EXTRA sold on this now.
@@matthewmuir8884 But that's what Ganondorf is - just some master manipulator guy, who's power is hidden. It wouldn't make sense for his voice to be eeeeevil and grumbly and low. Now Ganon, on the other end, would definetly need that voice.
@@matthewmuir8884 Matthew Mercer has voiced so many bad ass and charismatic characters in his career, though. I'm sure all of his voice work here will be amazing
I never thought id experience the same feeling i had watching THAT botw trailer, but im happy to say i felt it again. Throughout the whole thing. THIS LOOKS SO AMAZING I CANT WAIT
Thank you so much for reacting video’s like this! I have friends, but none of them play Zelda or are into it. I’ve been happy about this trailer all fucking day and to share that happiness trough video’s like this online with eachother and trough the comments makes me even happier. Thanks for bringing us zelda fans together by creating a platform for it ❤️
This trailer was so jam packed. I particularly love the appearance of Riju and Sidon as well as Mercer's Ganondorf yell! Sounds just like the Melee Warlock Punch hahaha!
I hope this game will break the curse of demise. Zeldas outfit and her location shots makes me think she’s trying to call or revive the full power of hylia. Some of the unknown people might have ties to Din, Nayru, and Farore.
I get the sense that Zelda has slipped into an alternate time/dimension, and the Ganon from that place has crossed over and fused with the husk of our ganondorf to make an uberganon, perhaps even a full rez of Demise. Links green arm might be power we get from their Link to deal with this fused threat. Also I believe that 4:02 is their version of Zelda.
@@korok7523 this game is already at the end of the current loz timeline and future games can probably come after botw explaining the transition from the older games to botw
I absolutely LOVE seeing your reactions to the Zelda trailers. Feels like a kid on Christmas morning. I'm glad we can all share the hype that is tears of the kingdom!
I was waiting sooooo much to see your reaction. The passion and all that goes since I discovered you back with the reaction to BotW goes for miles and miles. No doubt you are my fave Zeldatuber, thanks for sharing us your emotions, make me at least for the wait to come to pass more fluidly.
These trailers make me so emotional. The Zelda IP has come so far and done so much, seeing these epic trailers fills me with a sense of excitement, wonder, and awe that leaves me shaking slightly and misty eyed. Can't wait to play this
I was already hyped watching this trailer but when Ganondorf appeared I got goosebumps one of the best trailers ever!!! And I love that the new champions are back and Raju got older too
I think.... That of all the reactions that may exist, yours is the one I was waiting for the most when I heard there would be a trailer. That emotion you show is the same I feel with all this.
Its solely because of you, Zeltik, and all your theory videos from years ago about the Zonai that I think many zelda fans (including me) became super hyper aware of anything Zonai especially in each new totk trailer and announcement. I'm pretty sure the whole fandom became so hype about the idea of Zonai after seeing your videos and theories all those years ago pointing them out..and now look! They are really in the new game! Everything came full circle and I'm so thankful and happy to be here hype with everyone
Leave them be. They're a bunch of unhappy idiots that don't know what happiness is and will do anything to piss off the fans. The best way to avoid and piss them off is by ignoring those idiots
So much to unpack in this 1:23 giant cube in the sky? maybe part of one of the Labyrinths from BOTW? 1:47 giant mushrooms in the village? new? 2:22 inside the volcano or at least that area? 2:24 at least 3 flying ships, centre, top left and bottom left 2:34 reminds me of a dog a bit? maybe something like a kitsune ? 2:38 a new giant construct 2:57 maybe one of the Sheikah clerics? 3:11 a Rito following link 3:20 reduced gravity in sky islands? Malice coming out of the volcano, and two green balls with magnetic pull or something? 3:25 mine cart combat, and looks like its deeper than link currently goes 3:29 new red cube drop from mobs on an arrow 3:34 The same rito with link? 3:51 reminds me alot of princess mononoke and ashitakas cursed arm. I wonder if there is some folklore this is related to? 4:00 looks like the same rito from 3:11 4:01 could be hylia or zelda in her hylia form, also looks like a Faun 4:05 bucket helmet confirmed? also a new sword type? glass looking 4:08 more "follower" combat?
4:08 That scene with Sidon was actually something I was predicting. I speculated that the Successors would work similarly to the Followers from Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak where they help you fight enemies.
Also Sidon and Ganon are wielding the same tears as zelda and the new character, maybe hinting towards the seven sages as we know these tears grant immense power, can only be used by specific people and there are 7 of them.
If you listen closely to the version of Ganondorf’s theme in this trailer, you can here the three notes of Ganon’s theme are the 4th, 5th, and 6th notes of Vatti’s theme in TMC and 2, 3 and 4 in FSA.
From 1:20 - 1:35 This music literally made me cry. I watched the whole trailer. Restarted it, and cried again lol. I feel like BotW only having the main theme featured in such a subtle way (only while riding a horse at night), that it made this return of the main theme in such a triumphant fashion all the more special
Was really hoping this would be the breath of the wild trailer equivalent for this game and show off a lot they've been hiding, and it did not disappoint. Fully quells any fear I had for the game reusing the map, there's so much new content, really glad they went out with a bang with this amazing trailer
I absolutely can NOT wait for you analysis video. There is just so many new details and things that I can’t comprehend for myself. I’ve never anticipated something so much
2:34 alright well that's the creature from the hieroglyphs in the 2nd trailer right? The one that we thought might be Hylia? the plot seems fairly clear at this point: Ganondorf wakes up, wreaks havoc, but that creature, who is most likely a Zonai person or God, and who was probably the arm holding ganondorf down in the other trailers, also wakes up, and I think THEY'RE the ones who raise the sky islands, to protect from Ganondorf, and they also seem to spirit Zelda away, one would think for safekeeping but that last line makes me think they're holding her against her will. Still, they don't seem like they're being set up as a malevolent force like Ganondorf, I think they're just overall doing their own thing, and they seem to grant Link his new abilities as well.
I think the character at 2:34 is a Zonai..an ACTUAL Zonai...looks very draconic, unlike Lizalfos...so maybe they are like Western Style Kobolds as they worship the dragons of Hyrule (In Japanese media Kobolds are often canine). It'd be the first new race we've seen in a while. And I may be stretching a bit but I think the character at 4:01 is Zelda with a power up of some kind...the hair and ears are longer but she's dressed the exact same as Zelda in the trailer from earlier and has the same eye color and something going on with her right hand which iirc is where Zelda's Triforce of Wisdom is and it glows gold when she uses it.
@@Mjolknirn That's been a theory since it was said that Breath of the Wild takes place at the end of ALL timelines. In BotW there's many references in landmarks, characters, and items that all 3 timelines have synced back into one and that now going forward from here the time line is one unit again. Any games that get made can be put in any of the split timelines to continue those legends or be put onto this new re-unified timeline where they can be referenced later. I'm guessing Ocarina of Time's split was made simply because the fans clamored for a timeline and so they split it so that everything that was canon was on the timeline chart...but now it's gotten to be too muddled and hard to deal with so they are using this to refuse the timelines into one so that going forward it's easier to deal with.
I loved the trailer but your reaction to the trailer made love it even more. Thanks for all the awesome content you provide to all us Zelda nerds! Huge fan here and my 8 year old son loves your videos.
Supermarkets in France tend to put out new games on shelves early I hope they’ll do it again with this game Last time I noticed it, it was with SMTV (about 4-5 days early) but I had already preordered the digital edition
From a Zelda fan and game lover, this is a game I've been waiting for for many years, and finally, something incredible and indistinguishable is created. Thank you nintendo for these good times, lore and history that you provide us and thank you Zeltik for all of this years full of zelda content :) .
The person we see putting their hand on Zeldas shoulder actually has golden hair as we can see behind them, I think this might actually be Link from the future, and Zelda realizes it when she looks at his face and exclaims his name
The fact that you were dead when I enjoyed my first Zelda game in 1993 and then come inton the scene and bring relevant commentary makes me happy. There's hope, thank you Zeltik
i used to watch your channel religiously and just kinda fell into other hobbies for a few years. I bought the game but has been sitting on my table, so I had to come here to get hyped and now my body and soul are ready to play!!! LETS GOOOOO
I think it is more likely he retired. Dude wasn't anything to be reckoned with so I don't think he got killed, and Zoras live for an incredibly long time. As far as we know he only has two children (iirc) being Mipha and Sidon, and ruled for "over 200 years" so the guy probably still has plenty of life left in him.
Your enthusiasm was on par with mine, I think. Although I have covid at the moment, and I think I lost a full day of recovery from just my first reaction. I cannot, CANNOT wait for your breakdown.
Not only did we see a girl who looked like Zelda from 10k years ago, but also she was wearing the yellow stone from skyward sword which current Zelda holds in her hand. AND THE OLD LADY LOOKED LIKE TWINROVA
An ancient Zelda and (I permanently live in hope of) a non evil ancient aspect of Ganon, divided from the malice that is destined to take him over, only alive in a sacred space world be extremely exciting
It was the swimming through the giant orbs of water then the mission impossible lasers that got me. Was in tears seeing this at first, so overwhelming. Just wow. X
When Zelda falls, she starts glowing with a golden light. It could be Link using Recall for the first time, or it could be the power of the goddess saving her.
Zeltik, this trailer provides material for 16 analysis videos 😂 Here is what I saw: 01:15 This Zonai Robot seems to be female 01:45 On the very right, there seem to be an non-activated stone 01:47 Pretty how Hateno is decorated. And did you see? The moutains with the firs seems to be way closer. Liked zoomed closer 01:54 This round stoned structure seems to be fallen from the sky. Reminds me of the platform im the sky in BOTW, where you fight and get the "motor bike". 02:15 The hand has a different color than seen in the previous trailer... It's now black 02:30 Interesting that NPCs or citizens are part of the fight 02:32 Watch close!! Link has the shekah stone is his right hand!! This must be a very early moment in the game. Maybe where the Link we know, enters a shrine and is elevated / transported to the new game scenario / time line? 03:23 Did you see the two "bubbles" float towards each other? Looks like a transportation system. 03:47 I'm sure the blood moon is back (technical reasons) and this is the new sequence. 04:07 It looks like they added elements of Hyrule Warriors.
Yo might be a stretch but the guy infront of the blood moon might not be ganon and actually might be demise! Look at the difference in hair, idk but its hard to say consoderong they hid the face (possible for a reason)
it is insane coming back to watch your channel anticipating this game. when i was a teenager i watched your theory videos religiously before breath of the wild came out, and here i am as an adult still mega excited
What I like about this trailer the most: Battlefields. It appears we will participate in small skirmishes to larger battles (maybe not Age of Calamity scale, but I'm open for everything) alongside our friends from the previous game. Random thoughts and details: Castle Town recreation Camp? Hell yes! 1:49 Friggin mecha fights. 3:26 Link in a wing suit 2:27 Damn, Link looks sick. 3:30 Did Zelda start glowing again? 2:17 Arbiters Grouds maybe? 2:02 Hyrule Castle Main Theme. 2:06 Fusing greatsword and shield gives id defensive properties 3:06 ROCKETJUMP 3:18 Twin blade Riju. Siiiiick. 4:04 It also appears that this game is set quite some time after BotW, concidering how much older Tulin looks. 3:10
Here's a theory idea I've had for a while: The Zonai and the Wind Tribe from TMC are one and the same. Evidence: - Zonai architecture draws inspiration from Mayan architecture. The boss Mazaal appears to reference the same architecture style. - Speaking of Mazaal, the boss is some kind of robot built to guard the dungeon, similarly to the Zonai constructs. - Both tribes are shown to have abandoned the surface to live in the sky. - Mazaal's colour palette is also interesting. It mostly comprises of Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, the colours of the Triforce (Red: Ganon, Power, Din, Eldin, Dinraal, Gerudo, Yiga) (Blue: Zelda, Wisdom, Nayru, Lanayru, Naydra, Sheikah, Fi) (Green: Link, Courage, Farore, Faron, Farosh, ) (Gold: Golden Goddesses, Triforce, Hylia, Hylians, Sealing Power) - Red and Blue have their own tribes (Yiga, Sheikah), but BOTW doesn't give Green a tribe-or does it? The Zonai's green energy, along with their location in the Faron woods, suggests that they are the Tribe of Courage. - The uprising in the desert could have to do with the two tribes located there (Gerudo, Yiga) both being connected to Ganondorf. Perhaps the Zonai were an ancient tribe who tried to combat Ganon/Ganondorf that were wiped out or forced to flee. Let me know if anything is missing! Edit: The symbols of the three tribes (Sheikah, Yiga, Zonai) all feature an eye icon. The Sheikah have the iconic Sheikah eye symbol, the Yiga have the flipped Sheikah eye, and the Zonai symbol could be the green hand symbol from the website. A Sheikah-like eye can be found above the hand.
@@Wolfsinger96 I found some art online comparing the Triforce pieces to an owl (Wisdom), a boar (Power) and a dragon (Courage) perhaps the dragon symbolism links the Zonai to the Hero and the Triforce of Courage. I think you're probably right.
YES!! This trailer was everything! I kept thinking "Oh boy, Zeltik will explode when he watches this!" 🤣 Can't wait! Just about to watch your analysis video too. Such an exciting for the community and your channel! Keep it up!
After seeing the official art of ganondorf, I'm pretty much convinced that this Ganondorf has a similar design to all of his previous appearences. He has his long robe from Wind Waker, round ears from Ocarina of Time and his jewlery from twilight princess.
