Hey! I am working with a sample that has mitoGFP and is stained with FITC antibody. Since both are excited by the same 488 nm laser, will it be helpful to change the FITC color to avoid any sort of overlap while imaging?
Changing the color will not do much. You should change your antibody so it is not excited with your 488 laser. You have the entire spectrum available. Make use of it!
