Dale, this is a great companion piece to the Cine Lens Manual. Thanks for putting this together. I now know better how to test and evaluate my lenses.

Commendable work, Dale. An indispensable book now has an indispensable visual aid / accompaniment. For some, that will be crucial. Cheers from LA, Soren.

Thanks for such a wonderfully made and informative video! Very helpful for a younger DP such as myself. Also how strong is that pro mist or whatever on the talking head shots 😂

Thanks for the great comment. I think I threw a 1/2 on. I go stronger with wider angles. I think this lens is parked at 35.

Love it! Make sure to watch the zen moment at 51:51. (Although I can't unsee the green spill from the foliage on the outdoor shots.)

Thanks for the comment! Yes - and in fact, I intentionally did not colour correct anything, because if you're going to shoot in a forest - or anything that casts a strong colour - it's good to know how your lens uniquely handles it. Some lenses may require less of a tint shift than others. If I was doing an actual shoot outside I would likely have used a series of blacks and bounces to eliminate much of the green.

@@vistek Makes sense! I could see one of the lenses had a lot less saturated greens on the skin.

Not sure if the point of this was to make me weirdly attached to a SLR Magic lens, but it’s …
