Bro.. I'm a big fan of yours. But I have to say, there is big problem in this particular circuit and it not reliable. The resistor is used to limiting the current not the voltage. So, there will be significant amperage drop across the resistor. Voltage will be same. We use resistor to limiting current not voltage. So, after using 1k resistor, accross the resistor there will be no "2 ampere" current flow, it will be reduced. That is why the resistor is heating. It's resisting the ampere. And we are getting 5 volt but it's ampere is not the same as it's source (2 ampere) current.
