I think the reason the animation is so good is because it is absolutely peaking on a really basic animation fundamental: squash and stretch. Every character gets their actions and mannerisms extra emphasized with anticipation frames (squashing up) before letting loose and becoming extra, well, extra (stretch).

The most striking thing about the animation to me is how they’re absolutely not afraid of going off model to play up expressiveness. Like if you pause during some of the more action-y cutscenes odds are good you’ll see damn smear frames. Which is insane to me.

I feel like "zenless" is a great way of saying "no chill" and want to work it into my lexicon.

Hoyo made a great choice by asking Shenpai to promote this game. I feel like it fits her perfectly. Also, this game heavily reminds me of Scullgirls with such varied characters.

I saw a random ad for this game and was really worried it was going to be some sort of basic phone gacha game, while it still has some of that it looks SO MUCH BETTER and I really want to try it when it's out!

the way this game scratched my urge for bayonetta/dmc combat, TWEWY style and music, then my barely suppressed gambling urges during the beta means my money is in danger. hoyo finally got my ass after all these years

The animation in this reminds me a *lot* of Trigun Stampede. They're USING the 3d animation and animating it uniquely and with different techniques from 2d animation, and it's to its favor. There's a sense of squash and stretch that's used that reminds me a lot of pixar. It's very impressive.

ZZZ is my dream game. I'm a sucker for Street Art and Street Wear, so naturally when this game was annouced with it's myriad of styles of characters and the FUCKING DESIGN OF THE WORLD I JUST AAAAAAA. Saying "My God" in english isn't enough so I'll just yell "MEIN GÖTT ALTER!!!!" What a fucking game, I can't wait to get my hands on it by July.

The animation in this is stellar! Not into the whole gacha roulette model, but ZZZ is undeniably expressive & smoothly animated . Gameplay looks good too (tho lets hope it avoids the gacha pitfall of having a few OP characters that make it all a boring cakewalk)

This game is extremely not my usual vibe but you may have sold me on it on style alone; genuinely feels like I'm watching a hype shonen fight scene where teamwork is the key to success. All the characters have such a distinct kinetic moveset and the fact that there's obviously more to unlock has me friggin salivating.

While I'm no fan of gacha, I have to say the voice acting and just the bounciness of the character animation is so dang GOOOOOOOOD!

Another cool animation detail is that apparently in the character selection and modification screens going through the different tabs has them move between different poses... and the order in which you go through the tabs matters! There are two variant poses for each tab as well as a different transition animation between the poses to make them flow from one to the next logically. The attention to detail in this game's visuals is crazy!

Coming into this video the only thing I knew about it was that there was an extremely really really REALLY hot wolf man I am now coming from this video with the knowledge that Mihoyo made a perfect game with an extremely huggable cyberpunk Ai Ohto (from Wonder Egg Priority), an extremely dommable Caelus (from HSR), Wrench (from Watch Dogs), combat like Honkai Impact 3rd, character design that would make a God cry (the "this is so beautiful" type of crying), a voice cast more perfecter than the most perfectestest cup of iced coffee on a cool 65° lightly rainy morning, and an animation budget that makes the US Defense Budget look like the pennies stuck to the bottom of your cars cupholder This game isn't just edible, it is a 17-course meal where you think the meal you just had was the best one but the next one is even better

From "Space Train to the Cosmos" to "Hi-Fi Punk"? This will be interesting...

I was planning on skipping out on ZZZ, but you convinced me to at least give it a shot. Hopefully it doesn't consume my life or wallet. Sidenote: I really do enjoy watching you and your stuff. Your laugh is contagious and despite having some confidence issues you still seem to put as much as you can into things. Never stop

I know this may be off topic, but this game looks so damn good for it being made on the Unity engine (besides Escape from Tarkov). The blending of animation with comic story telling is seamless and doesn't break the flow.

I can't really explain why, but I'm kind of getting Blood Blockade Battlefront vibes from this, and it's great. The game looks awesome, and I would love to play it, but I doubt I will be able to anytime soon. My phone is my best device, and that's currently filled with Honkai Star Rail.
