The way I see it is this; Beerus like many others, doesn't understand Zeno and only fears him, and practically nobody wants to go near him out of fear. I think when Zeno met Goku, he met someone who wasn't afraid to approach him as if he was Covid Incarnate. I think it was refreshing for a being who's essentially a lonely child and wants interaction with others
But you have to understand the others. Zeno destroys 4 universe out of boredom. So they experience that someone of child mentality end infinite lives just because he felt like it. It is true that he likes goku. But what if goku breaks a rule or does something zeno doesn't like. Zeno would destroy him and probably his universe with out second thought. But who could blame zeno he been though his hole live that all lives are just tools to him and that they are worthless when it comes to it. Knowing that could you Still be like a goku and go straight to a person like that.
I think Zeno is just tired of everyone eternally sucking up to him, he's been living for millions of years and if EVERYONE has been treating him like Beerus and others did, then it must be a breath of fresh air to meet someone like Goku, who not only has no idea who he is, but also is just a very genuine and friendly person who speaks his mind and is free of malice, Goku is canonically "pure of heart" and we know this because it's a requirement in order to ride on the Flying Nimbus cloud that Master Roshi gave him as a child (as a side note, the reason Roshi gave it to him is because he himself was no longer pure of heart for his....let's say "woman addiction", and so he could no longer ride it), and the number of people who meet that condition while ALSO being an incredibly strong fighter is rare, so everything about Goku is so different to the vast majority of beings Zeno has met, and must be very interesting to someone who has 'seen it all' just based on his age and abilities as Omni-King
when the tea turned white and clear, i got chills. When it turned black it could just mean hatred as in a sudden burst of anger or temporary hate of certain things, but when the tea shows "clarity" it means he is CERTAIN in his mind that what he thinks is right, and that is alarming.
Goku is one of the only people Zeno respects as a friend, everyone else just cowers and coddles him out of their own fear but Goku just kept it real and true from the beginning
I think about Zeno, and in my opinion Omni King has this form of a child to show a true balance between everything... You see child will not pick a side, it's innocent and unpredictible. You can sense it.. That innocent atmoshpere around him and everyone's reaction when he goes "You be quiet"
Naw once Zamasu came into the story it didn't move.They could've had other suspects that are kaioshins through out universe 10 that could've been goku black not just Zamasu that would've kept the audience guessing. But they ruined the mystery from the get go and having to call Zeno ruined the tension,Then once future Zamasu came into the it became unwatchable with it repeating itself with going and forth into the future. Everything was nonsensical after that and I could explain why but it be too long.

The reason why Zeno has a childish attitude is because of the incomprehensible power he has, if he were to be a mature guy he'd probably end up being an evil bastard! And yes Zeno from the beginning of time has been treated as a Royal and everyone is treating him so strictly, the guards are there to make sure he never gets angry or all of reality will go bye-bye, he just wants to have a friend!
Notice the leaves changing color at the end from light pink to a darker pink, back when this was first airing we were speculating bout something and those leaves confirmed it to us. You’ll see next episode. As gowasu said the tea is based on the mentality of the person brewing it. Throughout their conversations, episodes and what zamasu witnesses, the tea starts gradually changing because of Zamasu’s mentality going into a darker state. The whole "destroyer dies with their kai" makes you really think just how close beerus came to dying during the buu saga. I mean even goku himself threatened to kill supreme kai, and could have easily done it. Plus it kinda raises some potential plot holes seeing how buu DID kill off 4 of the supreme kais including the leader (presumably who beerus was linked to at the time). Though knowing the reputation of the writer, its likely he completely forgot about all the previous kai backstory
Dragonball writing doesn't go that deep into the lore tbh, you just go with the flow and enjoy whats happening currently rather than thinking about logic behind everything

Grand Supreme Kai (aka "Daikaioh") didn't actually die, he forcibly merged with the evil Kid Buu, the latter of which remained the dominant consciousness but resulted in the Innocent Buu that currently lives with Mr. Satan. He's still "alive", much like how Nail is within Piccolo, but was unable to continue his duty as THE Supreme Kai of Universe 7. (And this is proven true as he temporarily swaps places with Buu during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.) So as the only trainee/inactive one left alive, East Supreme Kai took over and Beerus' life link was changed from Daikaioh to Shin.

My argument to Zamasu would be that we die and all our knowledge isn't passed on to the next generation, additionally lessons learn first hand can't be passed on either(because people will want to try and succeed at the same thing) so it takes us a very long time to learn and integrate certain values.

I know Zeno calls all of the shots, and once his mind is set he goes through with it, but I'm fairly certain the Grand Priest holds a majority of influence. Nonetheless, The GP will still follow Zeno, even if it goes against his wishes.

In the manga I believe it was implied that the grand priest/minister is THE STRONGEST FIGHTER in the multiverse not just top 5. This would be true as although zeno might have more power he is not a fighter so he wouldn't be considered the strongest fighter
The whole interaction with Zeno is hilarious, when you watch it in Japanese and if you understand the culture and language you'll understand why everyone's fainting and shocked at Goku's casualness. The best example I can compare it to is imagine you as a regular person met Queen Elizabeth II (RIP), so you know no one's supposed to touch her (throw back to the first ep we saw Zeno and Goku shook his hand and everyone was freaking out, same concept!), you're supposed to be extremely polite and refer to her as Your Majesty or Her Royal Highness or whatever, the same thing applies with Zeno. If you noticed those pillars around Zeno’s palace, and the orbs flying above them. Those are all the 12 universes, cause you know, Zeno rules all of them. And the small man is Zeno’s attendant the Grand Minister (or Grand Priest in the sub) he’s an angel just like Whis, only difference is that Grand Minister is just serving Zeno, he didn’t teach him or anything like that, but he does help out a bit in watching over all the universes

Zeno is allegedly a representation of the audiance, anything he doesnt like is taken away, similar to how an author might change something if they get negative feedback. It's probably also why he loves Goku.

Hi I'm back again for another fun fact. Beerus almost died back in the Buu arc because the Supreme Kai got in front of Goku when Vegeta wanted to fight him. Goku threatened to kill Supreme Kai if he doesn't move.
Zamasu's opinion on mortals has some truth to it in that mortals cause violence and repeat mistakes but they should be allowed to exist and have the opportunity to prosper or to perish on their own terms. Even that weird monster planet should live as maybe one day they learn not to spread violence and see reason.
The reason Zeno likes Goku, is because he's the only one aside from the Future Zeno that isn't scared of him and dares to talk and play with him like a friend with no fear, both also act childish but Goku is just unbelievably dumb in super but because of that he comes with ideas no one else among the gods can think of.
