The switch question was weird. I don't even know if the switch sequel would have the muscle and it would be counter productive for them to chain the game to yet another console platform. PS4 is still making them hold back.

I don't think being 1 of the biggest MMOs in the world matter if the company isn't allocating funds to their department. FFXIV isn't the only title Square Enix has, nor is it even the most expensive. They have all of Final Fantasy (whose fans are clamoring for a remake of their favorite), with FFVII Remake alone costing $140+ Million dollars to develop (and there's 3 of them) and XVI probably costing around the same, the Kingdom Hearts series (which probably has about as many games as FF does), the Mana series (remake coming next year), Dragon Quest (being developed along side the FF series), and the SaGa series (which is pretty big in Japan), not to mention their smaller titles like Life is Strange, Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default. That doesn't even include all of their flops like Avengers, Babylon's Fall and Forspoken. Square Enix is not like Blizzard, who focused on World of Warcraft and pretty much dropped everything else. FFXIV and FFXI were their profitable games because they probably had the lowest overhead and had a steady income of money due to subscriptions and the Mogstation despite their other titles not recouping the cost of production. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not getting even half of the funding their big budget titles are and are just getting by mostly on Mogstation sales.

About the budget increase thing, square enix did have a huge offload of people not to long ago. Also, they seem to have had a huge change it strategy company wise aswell. So maybe that might be some reasons to why we don’t have “resources” for the pvp maps and stuff. But honestly why didn’t they just leave the map?

Again, just because you are a content creator doesn't mean you know how to pose a question well or understand what it takes to manage an MMO. Imagine saying "you can just do X" when all you do is sit on your ass, play a game, and talk about sitting on your ass playing a game. The reason the new servers won't help with Dynamis population is because everyone wants to travel to Aether even from Crystal or Primal. They aren't doing it because they have friends there, they are doing it because Aether has always been the "sRs rAIding SRvr". And if they made it so you didn't need to travel? These same people would only accept Aether players into their PF.

so the n1 or maybe 2 biggest mmo in the world doesn't have the budget to maintain a pvp map?! woOOt?! lol

Someone Really outta get Yoshi on the whole steam version and Windows version disparity.
