You have inspired me to get this watch because: - It is a good size for my 6.5 inch wrist - I don't have a blue dial yet in my collection - I prefer only quartz cheaper watches as the cost to service an automatic is more expensive - I like the hessalite crystal, the same as my speedmaster, easy to maintain - I Don't yet have a day, moonphase, or week tracking complication before this watch. Simply, it ticks all my boxes! The Z reminds me a bit of Russia though...
Only good reasons ! The Z is for Zeppelin like I know you are aware of that, but my point is, no Zeppelin were flying in Russia, this is truly a German thing so no worries my friend it's not a Vostok 😉. Buy it !
Bought this with the biege dial and brown leather to lean into the vintage look, i really like it - i love moon phase features. Good alternative in the same price range as orient sun and moon that comes in a smaller size imo
zeppelin watches have a wonderful quality, truly was a surprise for me too. Way better looking in reality than pictures. And a real moonphase complication, rare at this price, even in quartz ! Thanks for sharing 👍

I don't own one but had tryed once and I own another Zeppelin. The watch itself is incredible and probably the most selling model and a pure joy for the eye. Yes it has an acrylic glass, but it offers therefore a clear view. Of course it shouldn't be worn while being active. Although scratches can be easily polished as long as they are not to deep. The week point if this watch, or all Zeppelin watches are the straps/bracelets. Zeppelin doesn't produce them by themselfs and sadly cutti g to many corners. The straps a trash in my opinion. It's outside low quality leather, filled with cardboard (yes...really). Therefore it feels uncofortable, stiff and low in quality. The clasps on the leather straps are even not branded. Since one or two years Zeppelin offers also bracelets. But they are also more "meh". They are branded with a logo, but those which I saw looked more like afterwards ingraved at the Shenzhen backyard factory in not a very clean way. I immediatly changed my strap and bought for 50 Euro a german handmade high quality strap which upgraded the watch in visual and feel. But the strap shouldn't hold you back from buying. It's still a great watch for the price and the strap can be easily changed if it doesn't match the expectation. PointTec, the company which Zeppelin and ither watchbrands are belonging to, had merged the Ruhla watch manufactury just few years ago and produces the watches actually inhouse in germany (of course not the movements), whicv gave them the full responsibility in their quality control. Saying that, I wpuld expect and hope the same for their straps someday. I will probably meet the marketing management at a fair this year and will asking him about. They are quite honest and comfortable to talk with.
Hallo from Vienna! I mean for not much money a real good watch but I like it a bit more expensive I LOVE Oris, Glashütte Union or Bruno& Sohn , Junkers etc! For the same price Ingersoll is NOT so good as Zeppelin watches! If you want a good watch & not spend a lot of money buy Zeppelin or Union for bit more money 😉 & I love ONLY Automatic watches or Handmade plus I love ONLY leatherbands whit folder- closes-system , it’s safe the leather sooo much & looks better too!!! Tik tak time is Running & never come back !!!
Hi mate, great review. Looking at buying this watch from same website as you. Just wondering if you had to pay import tax charges? As I’ve never imported so unsure whether I would have to pay to import it to the UK. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Yup, you take the slow delivery not DHL, and you ask for the tracking number, when it arrive in France you have to pay 12 euros so in UK maybe less ? You need to track it on your postal services and pay online when possible. If they don't give you the tracking number (they never do), write to them to have it ! there you go brother.

Thansk for the review and I think there is non other 36 mm annual watch thats a plus. I would have prefered to have the month of the year rather than week of the year though. I realy dont know the use of the week of the year, does anyone? :)
Amazing Watch. Kept it in my eye years. Started a new Job and dont know if Going for the Citizen tsuyosa or this one. My normal Style is mostly Sporty but sometimes elegant. The band is dark Blue Right ? You sold it or enjoying it ?
Hi, the citizen is basically like a datejust without the fluted bezel, I think it's a wonderful and versatile option, you can dress it down and up. The zeppelin moonphase is not that versatile ! it's clearly on the dressier side. You can dress it down but not like the citizen. If I were you and if I correctly read your expectations, I would go with the citizen in blue or black, not the yellow one, but a color that does it all ! The zeppelin is a gem, but it's more a "side" watch than a do it all watch. And not easy to set. Do I still like it ? Of course, but I have many other options, if I had only the zeppelin, I would urgently buy a seiko or a citizen "versatile" watch that has a date complication. So if you ask me, the citizen ! beautiful watch and "automatic". Always more charming.... ps : the band is blue.
@@thehandsontime amazing answer, thank you for That. I got 2 Michael kors one Which i want get rid off. Too big for my actual Taste. And a Zeppelin Automatic for Special days and classy outfit. Mostly turtle neck days. But you are Right the Citizen is More a everyday Watch. Im eying on the Green one because It Looks very nice. Yellow is too much for my Taste. Black a bit too Standard Maybe. It Looks very Good as well but Maybe a bit too casual. Have to say That the Tiffany Blue one is looking amazing but dont know for now. Would be Great to See Them in Person but no big citiizen dealer in my area 😃 tiffany blue - Black or Maybe Green. No Rush and Time will Tell 😄

A quel niveau de dérive tu la situes (+ ou - combien de secondes par mois), et si le verre n'a pas trop pris de rayures en la portant. En tout cas, merci pour cette revue, cette montre est vraiment magnifique, mon horloger la vend et j'hésite vraiment à l'acheter, mais 279€ pour du quartz et un verre en hésalite sont un frein d'achat pour moi. Salut Nico, alors le mouvement "ronda quartz 706b" dérive :-10 à +20 par mois (c'est juste une estimation, elle tiens super bien l'heure !). Le verre hesalite ont le trouve sur les speedmaster de chez omega, oui il raye plus facilement mais toujours en dessous de ma manche de costume j'ai jamais eu une rayure, et n'oublie pas que ce type de verre est polissable facilement par toi même, cela n'est pas le cas du saphir et du hadlex de seiko par exemple. Le prix ? @@nicolaslevert1346 aucuns frais de douanes en livraison lente (pas dhl et les autres "livraison lente gratuite !") juste tva a payer avec ma technique (12 euros en traquant, 18 sans le faire), emballage au top ! Mais tu n'auras pas la boite d'origine, c'est le prix a payé. J'ai commandé un tres grand nombres de fois, ZERO problèmes, environ deux semaines pour arriver chez toi ! (le bracelet mèche est d'origine zeppelin, classe et tu pourras mettre se que tu veux apres au pire). PAYE AVEC PAYPAL POUR ETRE COUVERT RIEN DA'UTRE.

@@rambo68 I would not personaly, but if you want to put a dress watch on a nato you free to do so. This watch, because of it's pushers as a "slight" sporty feeling, so try if you already have the nato, otherwise like I said, not really made for that, and I wouldn't do it, but don't listen to me, always go with your heart. Trautman out !

If you have the money for a real automatic moonphase i understand the comment, but if you don't and you want a real moonphase (like that zeppelin is by the way), good luck....
