He's going to win the challenge by producing mass overlords and spread them across the map generating poop creep piles till theres enough % covered so it counts. 😅
4:03 “hope u r proud clown” 35:00 “Yo, am I an actual Zerg player, now? Why I am playing well?” Proud zerg player Marc. 36:41 “Oh, I’m a Zerg player, let’s go!”. Marc is proud again. 38:08 “hope u r proud” 38:12 “This, I’m actually proud”. Marc, agrees. Very proud 😂
Man, it was pretty hard keeping tabs on the protoss army in game 3. If only there was a zerg mechanic that improved map vision, perhaps in the form of purple gunk. ;)
You having a blast pissing those nexus' down was quite entertaining. Honestly, I've always preferred watching your terran videos over zerg and protoss. Now I love watching your zerg videos almost as much as terran. You definitely play more of a terran zerg than anyone else.
Yeah, Marc has the advantage of having a lot of base trading experience to make all the correct decisions there. For most players at lower levels than him, they are disproportionally less likely to have that experience compared to other skills because lower level SC2 tend to be decided when one player snowballs and curb-stomps the other. Base trading only gets more common at the top levels where the games are close and the players both know how to take good fights. Which results in more scenarios where both players refuse to fight the opposing army and instead go for base trades.
"I hope you are proud clown" is just the best. Like fully admitting its a stupid build, but they still lost to it rofl. If it is such a clown build then what does that make them :p. Keep up the great salt mining work Marc, A+.
Great work, especially the last game! One utterly stupid thing I noticed in this game though, I'd not noticed before. I know that you need high ground vision to see units at higher elevations, but it seems REALLY dumb that you cannot see flying units as well until you can see the higher ground level! At one point Marc's unit's ran up a ramp, and only when they got to the top, did they see the protoss flyers waiting at the top of the ramp! Those flying units should have already been visible, it's insane that even flyers can hide on top of high ground!
@@uberculex That a flying unit can hide behind a cliff face? That's dumb as all hell! If you were looking up from the bottom of a cliff, sure, you wouldn't be able to see the ground units on top, but a flying unit would be rather obvious. It would be like hiding a flyer behind one of the grass/steam/foliage los blockers, you'd be easily be able to see it over the top. Makes no sense at all
@@dahn57 Lots of things don't make sense. It's a video game. Why can a cluster of like 12 marines shoot down a capital ship battlecruiser with just some assault weapons. Also, why do drugs affect their guns? Why can't zerg roaches burrow through a supply depot but they can go through it when it is lowered? It doesn't matter and now zerg balance relies on it so it will never be changed.
@@uberculex Video game design still relies on a degree of common sense intuition as a shortcut for humans to comprehend what is happening. Otherwise you could argue that Starcraft needs no graphics and all the pieces can be abstract dots. The degree to which intuition matches game mechanics is something that the game designers actually care about, and from that game design perspective you can argue for things to be changed. Many people would argue that the examples you listed are not as egregiously counter-intuitive or common as flying units "hiding" by hovering 10m above a ramp. This is because humans have a good intuitive grasp of how LOS should work in 3D space. Contrast that to why stim makes guns shoot faster... that's more a lore problem. Most players just think of it as "ability that makes them shoot faster" and don't even know "stim" refers to stimulant drugs. It is not counter-intuitive at a single glance, in the same way that the flyers are. Maybe it can't be fixed because of overlord mechanics, but that doesn't stop it from seeming way more stupid than those other mentioned examples.
In Radhuset Station you can build a hatch near the 3rd location. There's a spot between minerals at natural, 3rd base location, and mineral wall are just far enough. This would be a proxy hatch behind wall off. Probably send first overlord there to have high ground vision.

Have been noticing this for quite some time now, corruptor puke has so much dps you usually cannot even save the base with some units nearby or sometimes even in place. I feel like it could be a little bit lower, even though i quite enjoy using it as zerg.
So many people say that corrupters are boring, but I personally find them to be pretty fun. I like their flavor of having extra base armor and the (relatively) new barf attack indeed gives them another dimension
This first guy was kinda hilarious, get cheesed on then gets salty. Reminds me of a pro player that went for a 6 pool in one of the final matches of a tournament, sent everything including drones, got scouted and just gged then and there, just thinking of the steel balls on this dude for going "f it, I'm rushing this"
Also as much as I love his Terran and toss, zerg has to be my fav race to watch him play. Always such fun games and styles haha. Also love to watch good players play Zerg bc it seems so fun and it’s my worst race sadly lol
I think its funnier because these people are grandmasters and should have some sort of understanding how the game works, they should know how to counter Marc but instead complain lmao
Pig casts salt games that are sent to him, its not exactly the same. Also uthermal is a pretty positive person, I don' think salt is the main reason people are here. Unexpected salt is fun. Purposely mining salt would feel inauthentic and mean spirited and I highly doubt he would ever go there.
He gets surprising little amount of salt since he's creating content the last 18 plus months. And going purposely for it is bad form. Just leave it up to coincidence let the players play themselves is just the best course of action here.
"Am I a Zerg now, guys?!" not until you learn to spread creep. Just start by connecting your bases so Brenda can run instead of having to use the assisted living walkers. Just... Just a tiiiiiny bit. pls. Love the strats, especially game 3. The corrupter's spray is criminally underused. I think the best is to bait away the army, then put 8-10 to spray the nexus, and the rest spread out on production buildings. The ramp up makes even a few sprayers do tons of damage. If you can get the enemy to leave for a good 20 seconds, you can fully wipe out a base, not just the nexus. I think it would work, anyway.
38:18- Lol what, what salt, I understood the first time, but man, the second time around, you played not only a really good game, but a frankly borderline standard game of late game Z v P.
In game 2 he had only two pylons, one of which was powering all the shield batteries. If you would've focused on them, you would've disabled everything and then could've cleaned up the army.
Hey uThermal, can you explain why you crawled closer to the enemy with the spines at 8:07? This is a tactic nearly all pro gamers do, but I do not really get it. Would it not make sense to leave them there a bit further to dish out damage while you build up your third spine? Or just to move them one by one instead of uprooting them all together? That way the protoss would have trouble dealing damage for free.
Nice video! Um pedido de vídeo e desafio, "roubar" um probe com infestor e fazer unidades em um grande exercito zerg/protoss ou zerg/terran para uma epica batalha final!
I once saw a video of Flash using Neural Parasite to abduct a SCV and use it to build a Terran Army to defeat the other guy. Then the other guy said he was going to report Flash for cheating.
What about roach raveger for spine rush? There would be very few of them but they could put constant pressure the wall and ultimatly kill batteries/cannon from distance.
