Zero Days Without A Lost Time Farm Accident
Finishing up last minute harvest preparations. Unfortunately we had an accident on the farm. Isla fell off the tractor and suffered a concussion. Thankfully it wasn't any worse. Please remember to slow down and stay safe this Harvest Season.

Awww, that sucks! When I was about 9 I went down about 40 steps! I didn't ever hurt too (that was the weird thing) and I did it TWICE! I also fell off a 9ft tall fire pole at our school and knocked the wind out of me. I'm glad she's ok! Have a safe harvest!

So grateful the little one is ok.... Within a mile of the MN dairy farm I grew up on guys were missing 1 leg and 2 arms. Yup, 3 amputations within a 1 mile radius of my home. I went through the beater on Shultz manure spreader when I was 14. Lucky to be alive. Neighbor 1.5 miles south ran over their toddlers head with the big tractor...horrible. Please keep safety first with equipment. Love the channel!

Im so glad the little ones ok. The wife said it all when she said (slow down and be safe) i know with being a farmer once harvest is here we get excited and wanting to just go go go but everyone just has to remember to slow down and think safely. The crops will still be there tomorrow.

Some 36 years ago, my then 3 year old daughter tripped and did a header into a two door divider jamb and wound up with a concussion and two very black eyes. Very scary at the time but she came through just fine. I'm sure yours will be fine as well. Thanks for reminding us about safety. Take care.

Safety is no joke. I had an auger finger come loose off our header and come through the front windshield passing within an inch of my head.... Shattered the front window and the tank viewing window. Shut it down, went to town and straight to the liquor store! Glad She’s ok!! Keep up the amazing videos!

Glad she is oke, I had the same couple of weeks ago when my son fell down badly on his head. Luckily he didn't have nothing severe.For you and your wife as parents it had been also a shock so be there for each other!!! Keep safe and just make sure you and your co-workers are safe and the harvest will come no matter what. Just keep safe cause the crops can grow back, a family member doesn't. Cheers !!!

Happy to hear she is going to be OK. Nice to see the little ones helping out on the farm but there is so much that can hurt them and they don't see how dangerous everything can be. Maybe a rainy day project to make a lower guard rail, you could bend it and weld it to look like factory.

Yes, slowing down a little does wonders. We over look lots when in a hurry. I learned this at an early age. My uncle still runs around with his head cut off and every year something gets backed into. His vehicles have no bumpers left. Lol We've been running corn all week long, testing low 20's with some green still in the stalk. In Indiana. Take care and good luck

Zack I'm sorry to hear about your little girl falling concussions are very serious I had two or three of them they made me wake up every one hour or two hours while I was trying to sleep I hope she's okay God bless your family. You can see the sincerity (along with 100 other emotions) in his eyes during the last part of his message. Thanks for sharing. That accident could have easily been left out of the video and off the internet to save face but instead he decided to share a reminder of how fast something bad can happen. Dude and dudettes....i started crying when you first said isla fell. I'm a 51 year old man and i think that little girl is just the sweetest thing. Then when she had that"owie face" in the car it tore me to shreds. Please tell me she's ok......all y'all are some is the best people that I'm proud to say i "know".... Over 70 years ago, my father ran over the side of my head with the Ford N. I remember my father saying, "Thank God the dirt was soft." I was riding on the fender and fell on the inside rear wheel. I had a lopsided looking head for a long time. I survived. Very happy for you and your family that everything is fine. A lot of potential injuries can happen on a farm. I was the 6th generation farmer on our family farm. It ended with me getting drafted, sent to Vietnam by the democRAT LBJ, and blown up. 🦅 Eaglegards...

First thank God your daughter is ok! Secondly I know that inside feeling and guilt dad is feeling afterwards. My oldest daughter while learning to walk... I was sitting with her on the floor and was trying to get her to walk on her own and before I knew it, she took off like a shot acrossed the room and before I could stand up and go along with her she ran head first straight into the corner of one of our end tables and knocked herself out and within seconds had a seizure. Long story short she was ok but got a heck of a goose egg and a nasty bruise but I damn near lost my freaking mind and blamed myself for everything ..the ... If only I had...started and took me along time to forgive myself for not protecting my lil girl. Of course it really wasn't anyone's fault, just like this accident wasn't anyone's fault that your lil one fell, it is just one of those things that happens in life, but when things like this do happen all loving parents blame themselves when really.. it just happens. I could see in dad's eyes on the ride home your blaming yourself....don't go down that road! This is why they are called accidents, the only way you could have prevented it, is if you would have known she would fall before she fell and you don't have ESP! Lesson of the day is kids are going to get hurt doing everyday normal things and there is nothing a parent can do to prevent them all! God Bless and again I am very happy your little precious one is fine.

Hi Zack and family , I just had a few minutes before i go out to the shop and make some repairs on our own equipment here. This video is a good safety reminder for all of us accidents can happen to anyone of us especially when things get busy. And its always important to work with our young people on farm safety. I know this is an old video but I felt the need to watch it again. Harvest is going to be a tough one this year with Mother Nature dumping snow on us earlier this week making our harvest window that much smaller. I’ve always been a go and get it done kinda guy and I’m guilty of maybe being a few steps further ahead than I should be. I needed this reminder to slow down because the last thing I want is for my son or anyone of my family to get unnecessary hurt. I can’t say it enough but thank you for this video.

So glad she is ok! Just remind everyone a few years ago a Dad had his little girl riding in the combine harvesting beans near Abilene Ks., he hit a ditch and the little girl went through the windshield and the outcome was real bad. Accidents happen! Stay safe the rest of harvest.

Shes a tough girl just like her mom and dad. Very sorry to hear its happened but very thankful shes ok, we all have had a tumble or two on the farm, unfortunately it just happens now and then, I learned to climb up and down the combine ladder always facing the ladder the hard way. Thank you for keeping us informed, we all hope she gets back to 100%asap, have a safe and bountiful harvest!
