Seeing as I've now visited and talked about several other limestone pavements I thought I might as well bring you to another: Scout Scar. Join me as I marvel at the views, see the old Kendal racecourse, get wedged in several gates, eat steak, explain the Steve Wallis reference, go to the pub and in the morning drink coffee and eat more food! All in all a wonderful couple of days in the van!
Thank you so much for watching.

Yeah man they are ash trees. It's a disease that is hitting all ash trees in the county called "ash die-back" and although it is weirdly eerie and beautiful, it is also quite sad. Great video though 👌

Superb, With increasing age, and bad knees Scout Scar is still very accessible, and its a cracking spot , especially with the camera. The trees on the limestone seems to have succumbed to Ash Die Back. They looked like that all the way through the summer. Keep it up Glen, its really essential viewing. You know while the toe is playing up, you could so some of the walks for the creakies, like Scout Scar, which are enjoyable regardless of fitness. There are plenty of these throughout the Lakes .

Fantastic video as always. You're such good company. I love a dark beer as well, especially at this time of year. My favourites are Theakstons Old Peculier and Orkney Brewery's Dark Island. The Co-op are doing a seasonal stout at the moment, although it's brewed by Robinson's. It's bloody lovely though, coffee and chocolate. And I almost forgot Black Isle Brewery's Porter and Titanic Brewery's Plum Porter. I'm not an alcoholic, honest! 😂

Enjoying the new style vlogs! ---- cooking in "The Van" ------- waffling on is part of your character and most vlogs ending with seeing what you are enjoying a pint of! -------- as I think someone has mentioned Jennings Brewery was bought and closed by the Marston's/Carlsberg group and they have just done the same to the Wychwood Brewery who made one of my favourite beers "Hobgoblin" ------ still can buy it but with less alcohol content! ------- Beer waffle over!😅👍

Great vlog as ever Glenn. If you think those gates are slim. In Deepdale there's a bridge just east of Dent passed the church with 'wall gaps' (my name for them) they are only wide enough for one leg at a time. Cheers, Simon Suffolk.

You added the red wine too early. That’s why the pan cooled down. 🙂 Sear th steak on both sides, book it until it’s done how you like it, then take th steak out, let it rest, while you deglaze the pan with butter and rd wine on the highest heat so it thickens slightly and forms a glaze. That’s what you wanted. 😉 The all and video were v good btw! xx

A cracking video visiting a cracking village being demonatised, because of the word that it sounds like, which we won't name.. instead of assessing the video, they just claim all your money instead, and apparently that is more moral and acceptable in society than saying the word 😅. I have watched a few of your videos as I like Cumbria. As a vegetarian I wasn't offended by the steak, because people should be free to choose either way I was quite disappointed to see an outward bound person using a phone to pay for a few cakes though. Yes, again people should have a choice, but if we lose cash(because the banks make more profit) many poorer people in society will suffer. Please do a little research into the consequences, and who a cashless society actually benefits. Keep making the videos, thanks.
