These trimmers are Sharrrrp! I mean super sharp out of the box! Just be mindful. I had to push mine back quite a bit cause of how sharp they were. Once I set them perfectly tho they are absolute certified hitters!
If the battery is Li-Ion, pls stop advise getting a "full" charge... It is actually hurting the battery. Draining it less to 30% or getting to 100% is hurting the battery. Otherwise, very good video, informative too. :)
Hey Sophie! I’m having a lot of trouble with my FX3 clippers. I got them at the Connecticut barber expo. They clog up after every single haircut. Sometimes even during the haircut, I have to oil them constantly, or they do not cut. Have you encountered anything like that with these clippers yet? And when I go to zero gap my clippers, I turned the two screws on the blade. And the blade does not move. It just stays in the same exact spot🤷♂️🤷♂️…And my number two through six guards, don’t even stay on the clipper. When you lock them in place, the left corner of the guard just falls off. Do you think I just got a defective unit? LOL . Love the trimmer, and the shaver. But I’m super disappointed in these clippers
@@desmondmitchell5602 I know about four or five other people who have purchased these clippers. They all have positive reviews about them. I guess I just got a defective unit. Sometimes I guess it happens. I was just really disappointed. Because I was really looking forward to using these. But I can’t even get through a single haircut…
The real test to these trimmers are gonna b the durability of the blade drive....babyliss trimmers are awesome buuuut the blade drive is weak and forces you to pay for new blades far too fast n that's horrible
Great observation as this is something we are always looking to improve. 😀 Right now with the rotary motors and the super high torque it’s bound to happen. Seeing how fast these blades move so that we can get that GREAT user experience there’s always going to be some cons as well but it’s definitely not some thing we overlook but we definitely take into consideration to always make it better as time goes on. 👌🏽 I think out of all the companies I’ve worked with .. Babyliss is the leader in listening to the barbers perspective and always trying to find ways to make it better. But if you do prefer some thing that doesn’t burn out as quick then you may have to select something with a lower torque or RPM speed. To me it’s like getting high-quality scissors and having to cut a shit load of heads a day and also getting upset why you have to sharpen them so much😆
@@Staygold31 thats what I told them ! Lol they didn’t even know what I was talking about either till I had to show them and then they were like oh yeah we just got those in 😆🤦🏽♀️
I honestly feel like theres something wrong with my fx3's because they have never cut really good, they dont pick up hair that great especially with kids and finer hair they leave lines i have to go back over the head multiple times, and they clog with hair so fast within two cuts i have to take them apart. Almost seems like theres too big of a gap between the blade and the body or somethings not right. I was so excited to use them and paying that much for clippers i felt extremely disappointed in there performance. I still try to use them because right now all i have is those and the Andis cordless Masters that are loud in my small shop. But they never deliver the performance everyone seems to say they have??
Wow I am shocked ! I have a very different experience. If you’ve never used a cutting system like this clipper before .. it can be extremely unforgivable becux those blades cut thru everything. For 1 they shouldn’t clog… have u kept using them tho and try to wear them in? The gap… I’m not sure what u mean? Did u zero gap the blade ? These blades are typically sharper than regular ones to where u wouldn’t need to go over multiple times. I’m wondering if u have a defected one ? Cuz i really love mine. 🧐
@@Staygold31 I have suspected the same as far as getting a defected one, almost seems like it would have to be but i got it from Cosprof. Yes i continue to use them every day just still literally baffled as to why they dont cut well, like they slow me down a little, they clog up and when i say in between the body and the blade i dont mean the blade or what it sits on i mean when you pop off the whole top and put it back on in between the whole head and the body of the clipper up where the gap is between the clipper blade and the body of the clipper seems gapped quite a bit as to let hair in, probably why they clog so easy. The hair gets down under the head quickly due to this gap. I have not zero gapped them or messed with them at all. I'm starting to like them for detail work but as far as bulk removal and fading they lack a lot. I asked when i bought them if i could return if i wasnt happy and they hesitated big time, then said only if i use them once or twice. So i dont know if maybe they had already been returned once and someone messed with them?? Just sucks 😕
Btw thank you, and I absolutely love your product line!! Got my coworker to love them too. He's like a kid with the fiber pomade 🤣 He's never experienced anything like it before. I still want the trimmers and shavers though. A friend of mine got the clippers and said she wasnt impressed either so maybe its just this area?? We both got ours from Cosprof in Mansfield OH
@@lynnloui35 dang that's crazy to hear. If they won't take care of it you could at least hit up babyless pros customer service line and see if they can do the swap for u. I'll be honest.. These clippers are very hard to learn to fade with. It took minute to get the hang of it, zero gap it and all that .. everyone will find a different use for it. I typically use for removing bulk and setting guidelines. It's Def worth it cuz I do love it myself. Just takes a bit to get on control of. And thanks so much On the feedback for stmnt !! We love to hear how much people love it 😀
So basically you showed how use the include tool to loosen the screws? That is not full directions on how to zero gap. It's the first step in a process. I didn't bother with your clipper example since your trimmer example was terrible.
I bought babyliss fx gold trimmer it quit charging after like 6 months then bought the fx3 clipper a few months ago and they already quit working, won’t charge! This brand is trash
Need help bought a Babyliss pro FX7880E And i dont know if i got wrong Combs 6mm and 10mm. I cant get them to fit. I might just be stupid as fox. Cant find any guides on how to put them on.
I called customer support they sent me a brand new in package blade and it's night and day difference they hit now! The still blade that came on my clipper was just not smooth now that babyliss sent the new blade I'm gonna do a couple passes on the sharping stone on the still blade if that don't work at least I got a backup cutting blade now🧐
I love my fx3 trimmer at first I hated it but I payed $100 which was good 😅but then once I adjusted the blade I’m starting to like them tbh plus I ordered Philthy blendz mod with babyliss blade I can’t wait to put it on this Sunday 🥰
