yes... in the 2nd season he goes off to fight the huge army in the clip before... if I remember right they said 5,000 monsters he had to fight off... the show itself has 4 seasons, so of course he does come back. very nice show, 4th season came out a few months ago actually. I recomend watching it

You're right about nobody watched since I have only recently heard about the dub but not all of them were bad (Though I do admit it could have been done way better especially with Guiche and Saito) I thought the minor cast was decent but to be honest I 100% prefer the sub.
