Zero to Hero to Zero - Moving up from 29th to 7th at 2024 June Sprints Feature Race in Spec Miata

What a tough day. Due to a shortened single qually session in mixed conditions I start in 20th for Sunday'sJune Sprints Feature race. I slowly make my way up to 7th place, before a mechanical drops be back to 30th.
On the motor racing front I compete in SCCA and NASA events around the USA. I race both Spec Miata (SM) and Super Touring Lite (STL) cars. My cars are prepared by OPM Autosports in Atlanta, my SM is powered by Rossini Racing Engines, my STL is powered by Nelson Racing Engines, and both cars are stopped courtesy G-Loc Brake Pads, with contingency support from Hoosier Racing Tire, Toyo Tires and Mazda Motorsports.
On the motorcycle front, I race Hare Scrambles and Dessert Off-Road Races, and do a bunch of long, multi-day trips on adventure bikes around the world.

After watching some MX-5 Cup this morning, I was wondering when we were going to get another upload. Excellent driving as usual and that was a brutal way to lose all the progress made. Looking forward to future uploads.

Really nice driving. So my 1st question is how hard did you pucker before avoiding Justin on the first corner. My 2nd is what did you learn from the weekend and what could you have improved on.

thanks Bryce. Yup there was a definite sphincter moment there, but just slightly flat spotted the tires. With regards to your 2nd question, I came away from the weekend with 26 pages of new notes, 11 of them purely new rain notes, as this was the first time I ran in the rain at Road America since they repaved, it and i had to throw away 15 years worth of rain notes!!
