Zero Tolerance ZT0562CF M390 Knife Clone 

I'm definitely picking this one up now and probably the g10 version also. thanks for reviewing the clones. most of the clones reviews are from other countries and it's hard to find good info on them. don't worry about the haters and keep the reviews coming. I would like to see a review on the ZT 0620cf clone if you can swing it in the future.

Thanks for the shout out Joe. One of the big things I cant tell a difference in, is the scales. The tapered edge of the carbon fiber scale on the clone is thicker/wider. The biggest difference is the pattern in the carbon fiber. If you look at the older M390 and the newer 204P the carbon fiber pattern looks the same. The clones pattern is way different. That piece of scale, that sticks out past the liner, you are talking about around the lock, it is the same on the real one. The other things look the same from what I can tell. I have been wanting to see a video on this clone. Thanks again.

looks like a great knife regardless if it is a clone or not. affordable quality, and most of the real knives are overpriced. especially for a working knife. most of my knives are clones as i do not have the budget for the real ones and every single one performed great. great review, keep it up!

B/C I can't just drop $250+ for a new ZT when they come out Ive gotta look other places. Ive got a seller in ming on DHgate that looks like a nice clone. Do you know of any sellers that provide quality clones?

Have you tested the blade in any way to know what type of steel this is ?

Joe dose the spring assisted part work well? I have a couple other clones that are spring assisted and they don't work that great, you have to flick your wrist at the same time and you use the assist. do you have to do that with this? Good video btw I subscribed!

The carbon fiber in the middle looks like a laminate stick on but mine stays in the safe.This knife is pretty good so i would bring it to work as a beater.Great vid keep them coming.

wondering are the cheaper G10 clones as close to the original like this carbon fibre one is? Looks like the carbon fibre models are sold out everywhere.

Love the blade shine. I own the ZT 0350, but the blade is black. I prefer polished! :)

I've watched a dozen of these vids and the cf is different on this one. more of a shine to it.

detent on the real one is a lot more stiff. When I try to open it lightly the blade still launches quick. Thanks for the video though!

before i even read knife crazy's comment i noticed it! the carbon fiber scales is the key to figuring out that it's a clone, the patterens on the real thing dont have that border around it its really noticable on the clone not so much on the real thing on the real thing, its barely there

Just received my 0562 & has already been sent to ZT for warranty work. I got one w/the super DETENT. Any slight pressure on the lock bar & there is no way to flip it. But as noted, the fit & finish is great & all the other technical bits except for the detent. LOL maybe I got an Amazon clone

anyway you could have a video of it taken apart to see how it looks inside of it.

What I'd like to see? Ideally: that this clone cuts rope as well as the original knife does, or even better and is passing the Oso Grande type tests on par with the original. This would be super!

The real one, you hold it straight up with the lock at disengaged and it falls shut it also flies open with no wrist action

The CF weave on this one is noticeably smaller than on the real deal.

It's real carbon fiber.Cabon fiber is like anything else man . It's how it's made the wave etc.Nice but if you're gonna put this up for everybody to see and want lol you should put a link in the description.

The carbon fiber is very different, also it seems to be that the carbon fiber scale is also thinner than the real thing. The stop pin/thumb stud also looks different, this looks flatter. I generally think clones are not worth buying. Not because it's not good enough but it has no resale value at all. No one is gonna want a used clone, the real one however, can sell for a pretty good price even used. To me 50 dollars for a clone is basically throwing out 50 bucks.

I bet Amazon sells these and other clones and is making a huge profit

The Carbon Fiber is way off.... Not bad for a Clone. In, addition the Finish (grind) on the Blade is off. Thanks for the vid though :)

You can tell by how big that box is it's a fake... there not that BIG, second the carbon FIBER pattern is different and looks shiny

Blade steel is really X12CrS13 and is not suitable for knives. Tested in metallurgical laboratory.

I ordered the real one, I'll be really pissed if I get this fake peice of crap.

for 19usd you can buy a g10 handle clone. a real bargain

I got a 0804cf on a website call www.szudtek.com and they have some of the best clones for really low prices but my 0804cf is the best clone ive ever seen in all the videos and pics of the real ones i cant find a single difference its nice cause the knife is discontinued so if you want one check out that website its defiantly worth the $68 and i got the knife in 3 or 4 days i cant remember exactly but im very satisfied

the real thing has better carbon fiber, better blade steel, better heat treat, better fit, better machining, better hardware and mostly better operation (not all original designs are perfect). clones come sharp, its not hard to sharpen a clone in china. you may have less quality control with sharpening tho. alot of times blades are sharpened like crap and one or both sides are sharpened uneven or off a bit, which is annoying. Clones that i have had in hand have not been anywhere near the real thing, in fact they just piss me off when i handle them because i dont like all the issues i run into. i really hate how most of the time the titanium is JUNK. voids in the carbon, delamination etc. detents are usually REALLY bad. the list goes on. so if you want a good knife buy an original and if there's an issue, send it in to get repaired. most of them will make it right the first time if you explain in detail the issue. you cannot send things back to china, well, you can lol, but how long will that take, and youll just get a different one possibly with the same or a new issue. lets also not forget your knife in the video works great but the next one probably missed quality control, possibly 100's more. some of these knives are made in a make shift shop. some in some guys garage, some in a factory and some in 5 star factories in china. it really depends. i STILL wont buy CKRT or Kizer. the problems are left and right. Reate Knives are the best of the best in china, even as good as many american Knives. for the price some clones are decent, but they are NO WHERE near what you are getting from the original and thats the a problem, because people are saying they paid $50-60 for what they think is the same (or as good as) as the real thing... BUT THATS NOT TRUE. thats just what poor people say.

How do you know it is 9CR18MOV without testing? Recently done tests in lot of different knifes has more or less revealed that Chinese blades actually are more often what they claim to be than the so called originals. It is just hate talk. This knife and many other Chinese versions are better made, finer details, upgraded from the so called originals, carbon on this 0562 for example is tighter weave than the original and the feel lot smoother. I'm not saying that all the Chinese blades are good or better but I would claim they are as good at least than the so called original blades in the market. Simple reason is because Chinese can't afford to get bad test results to sell. Other ugly truth is that many makes and models make the components in China or the whole knife and then assemble or box it in original country to be able to stamp it as original. This goes with just about everything. And also for those that cry about copyrights there is no issues. Companies that make their knifes in China enter in contract allowing the Chinese to sell and rebrand the knifes for Chinese domestic market and often you see upgraded and improved products compared to original at fraction of the price.

There is a whole lot wrong right off the bat. Your blade stops are rounded not tapered. Your pivots have a triangle pattern cut I to them, wrong. Your clip standoff is the wrong size. The Z.T. logo is etched in the wrong place, too far away from the bladestop. That's what I can see without having the knife in m hands. Oh the carbon fiber bevel has way too much bevel to it.

I just threw up... what a deplorable business practice; I hope all the people that make these clones have horrible lives and can't sleep at night. All they have to do is buy a real one and 3d scan it... there isn't any magic to stealing intellectual property.
