I love the fact that they revamped Phoveos and how this COULD make him popular BUT He doesn’t really counter dash heroes effectively like he did before

Phoveus losing his shiled would basically cripple his sustain during team fights, making him a harder hero to use overall due to tje amount of damage he'll take due to CC effects.

The Devs removed that one thing that made Phoveus useful... The Devs literally created Phoveus to Punish Dash/Blink Heroes especially WanWan(?). His passive is the only purpose of why He is existing. Without it now, what is His purpose? Help Arlott Kill Securing(stealing)? I know the Revamped Phoveus still looks strong and badass based on the video but, I just want to know why they removed his only purpose, and that was To Counter Dash/Blink Heroes (it will probably soon be added or moonton forgor idk). Edit on 05/25/2024, 2:39PM GMT/+8: I have observed that Revamped Phoveus seems more Versatile and not so dependent on dash Heroes. However, His 2nd Skill is just basically like Arlott's 1st Skill except the Stun is replaced with Airborne. He is just a Generic Fighter at this point. Moonton probably forgot to add the Passive that the ultimate can be Cast when Heroes Dash/Blink. Considering that, this is still in Development and Things will subject to Change. But i will never forget that passive that made Phoveus Unique.

The devs had ruined Phoveus by removing his sole purpose: to punish heroes with multiple dash skills. He would have been better if they keep his old ultimate and passive in his revamp.

Previously phovious was to counter every dash/blink depended hero. Revamped phovious is now a hero which doesn't prioritises ememy lineup. If developers changes his passive so that it can be activated by teammates (like arlott, where cc effect applied by teammates activates his passive) then phovious will be a lot better.

They could have just change the current Phoveus's 2nd skill into the new one, make his ult little bit faster and make his 1st skill have displacement cc and boom, a GOOD REVAMP

Big upgrade. Although i wish the blink = activate ult is still here. It just needs to be shorter (detection radius) and can only be activated 2 times in 20-15 seconds based on level.

idk man, no shield + conversion from magic to phys means a single cuirass + dominance will obliterate him because dominance will also lessen his damage on top of antiheal. Also dont think his damage will be good at all. You will pretty much build him like Terizla but Terizla is just better because Terizla applies massive cc with his ult and has a constant powerful aoe slow. rn you can build Phoveus like this: Assassin emblem with pen, fest of blood and impure rage (mana management, better early game pressure, can swap it for lethal ignition if you wish or for brave smite) Spell is vengeance because you are indeed going full damage. Items are: Pen boots, Clock, Ice Queen, Necklace of Durance, Holy and Pen Spare items: Lightning trunch and Blood wings, you can switch up the build with one of these if you wish. One thing to keep in mind is you can switch the boots for Bloodwings in the lategame Note #1: I use clock because its been used in a "standard hybrid build", the one with oracle and dominance lol. I prefer Clock over Bloodwings because clock gives you 800 hp and 120 magic power as well as 5% extra magic power modifier like on holy crystal. Blood wings offer 90 magic power and although they have a shield, they lost hp they used to give. So, less magic power it is. Keep in mind that you can still use Blood wings over the Clock but im that og who likes to keep the tradition going. Also the lack of magic power for the benefit of slightly bigger shield and nice movement speed might bite you in the ass in some cases where your enemy survives. Also, more magic power = more shield from skills and more heal from spell vamp. Also your skills that give shield scale with hp that Clock provides so I would really recommend you to build Bloodwings instead of boots once you get to the lategame. Note #2: I only use Ice wand because it provides spell vamp so my skill 1 is actually useful. On top of that, the Ice wand also provides other very nice bonuses. Concentrated energy isnt better, harder to achieve 4 stacks and especially, to maintain them. Note #3: This build slaps with damage and turns Phoveus into a fucking vampire, his skill1 spellvamp is actually insane in lategame lmao. Try this build in classic.

They need to atleast make his ultimate activate with allied heros displacement skills so he can have some synergy or enemy heroes blink skills like before but it should not be both he will be op

I like the new look passive and ult but i dont like that it doesnt counter dashing heroes anymore which was his gimmick though sometimes not really well since it was slow enough to dodge it Also the fact that allies displacement is not counted even though its stated that enemies need to be "forced" to move. Also i think the damage and heal based on percentage on his ult need to be toned down a little bit

feels like a nerf. He's now entering the slow fighters sections, and it feels easier to kite him around now due to shorter skill ranges (skill 2 and ult)

As phoveus is one of my main here are my thoughts: 1. Physical damage gives him a strong early but weaker late especially since he deals physical damage that means he can be countered by wind 2. No mana that's actually really nice tho since right now his mana is quite annoying, you really need good mana management to play the current phoveus 3. The fact his role changed to countering non-dash heroes makes me sad as a phoveus main but he will be a more popular pick 4. I don't like the range of his ultimate it's so small Overall I can't like I am not sure if he is strong or weak or op, I need to play him myself when his revamp arrives at original server

A simple reduction of casting delay of his ULT is enough for the OG Phoveus to be effective but NOOOO.... Moonton change all them skills to be NOT a counter pick for dash heroes.

I think he is still technically a dash/blink hero counter since he can now run after them and hit them with the enhanced basic attack to begin his combo

Several problems here: 1. Removal of sheild on hos first skill makes him weaker early game 2. Making him deals physical dmg means now he can be countered by won 3. Removing the dash triggering ult COMPLETELY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF PHOVEUS

Original Server: Arlott uses his Ultimate to displace enemies so Phoveus can use his Ultimate multiple times. Advanced Server: Phoveus uses his skills to displace enemies so Arlott can use his Skill 2 multiple times.

Minus the ult change I like this, I use phoveus a fair bit but he needed the enemy team to have lots of dashes atleast now he can trigger his ult and passive on his own

note: s1 in description that should give shield doesn't give any shield (+ there no increase shield pts upon skill up) %target maxhp dmg won't trigger if enemy have shield I question the heal, at low hp, At possible ~600 pts at low spellvamp good? his skill seem like doesn't pair well with spellvamp as no shield gain from s1

Pros : 1. No mana 2. No ult cooldown 3. Faster ult animation 4. Slightly higher damage Cons : 1. Punk looking ugly model lacking originality 2. No more Greek God looking intimidating Stare/stance 3. No more dash ult 4. Can be countered by Wind of nature 5. No shield generation 6. Magic damage > physical damage 7. Will miss the OG lore accurate Phoveus

Just add this to his ult: when enemy use blink or is displaced by other means., he gets 1 astaros charge and up to 4.. the next dash not displaced by phoveus skills will activate his ult using 2 charges

I like his new gimmick, all his abilities are connected by the passive leap attack and ult slam. However, I didn't like that they removed the old behavior of his ult, where he can slam continuously so long as the enemy dashes. It's kind of part of his identity to counter enemy that likes to dash.

Just buff the current. His specialty is to counter Dash skills which is unique and can counter A LOT of enemies.

I already have a great build for phoveus and other things like emblems and battle spell so thanks for the game play

His hp damage based will get an adjustment based on pys power he has as usual

How about add to his pasive: the distance of enemy’s dash skills are reduced to 50% when nearby. OR nearby enemies who use dash skills will be slowed or silenced.

its kind of a nerf because, we have one less hero to counter dash heroes, should still keep the enemy hero dash/fliker skill to activate his ulti, and also the self activated flameshot, but take out the allies displacement by skill or flameshot for ulti activation to balance out. i hope they adjust it before release.

They shouldn't have changed his model. We already have about a hundred heroes and skins on leggings, shoulder pads and abs showing. I personally really dislike this lack of visual clarity between models. Not only does he look like a generic male hero that you can mistake for any at a glance, he also looks like an existing heroes like Martis and Granger

that one clip with silvanna top made me think it could be one ult per mark by ability

I hope the devs add back the CDR effect on his passive whenever enemies uses blink or displaced. But reduce the CDR effect so it won't be op

I main phoveus and this revamp sucks. Especially his looks. He was a greek super villain. Now he just looks like an emo raver. GG. Also ball and chain > stone stick.

I'm good with that mark which can be use to heroes with no dashes but they need to keep that unli ult if there's a dash user enemy. In that case phovues will become balance.

this update is good since phov isn't reliant on enemies or his teammates blinking/dashing or making the enemies move. However they removed what makes him a counter to dashing heroes and that he can't help in sets on team fights plus it enables the enemy hero who can dash to go mayhem first since his old passive affect can't trigger his ult. If they didn't remove it, it might be op however that passive shuts down those heroes in teamfights because once you dash and your low health say goodbye (i am also a phov main and also played against this hero before so i know that feeling)
