I feel like they went for IZ*ONE's route by debuting with a refreshing and bright concept considering how boy groups were completely flopping in Korean charts, so the boys went for a "safer" concept (I wouldnt even call it safer bc it suits them the best) I actually liked it way better than X1's debut. 'In Bloom'' wasn't an on your face song but it was far from bad. Reminds me of an earlier The Boyz song, which I genuinely enjoy.
