Hello so I'm working on my merc build and trying to figure out the probe setup, would you be willing to share your printer.cfg ? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong and if I could just have a peak at that it would help alot...thank you
You can find my config at github.com/RouvenWulff/Klipper_Backup_Mercury/tree/main Check the "BLTouch" section in printer.cfg. This should give you an indication, how to set up your machine. The section is commented out because I switched to a beacon probe. If you copy the section to your printer.cfg, just remove the # in front of all the lines in the BLTouch section. You most certainly will have to change the pin and offset definitions to fit your setup. Use with caution!
will be more accurate when you add your X and Y offsets for the BLtouch - its probing in the wrong spots right now. Other than that, this looks bloody brilliant! Nice!
As per the Klipper manual you have to configure it using nozzle coordinates: "It is described using nozzle coordinates (the X, Y position of the nozzle if it could move directly above the point)". So you set the nozzle as close to the pivot points as possible and set the offset from pivot point to nozzle. Additionally the probe offset will be taken into consideration.
This is such a difference to the original Ender 5 Pro/Plus. But: if you go about not only doing the coreXY conversion but add hydra too, the only thing remaining from the Ender will be the frame. You can find everything on the ZeroG Discord: discord.io/zerog If you're not using discord, the spool holder is available on GitHub: github.com/ZeroGDesign/UserMods/tree/main/Mercury_One/ZeroG/Spool_holder
Here you go: [bltouch] sensor_pin: ^PB7 control_pin: PB6 x_offset: -33.5 y_offset: -5 stow_on_each_sample = false probe_with_touch_mode: true speed = 10 lift_speed = 1000 samples: 4 sample_retract_dist: 0.6 samples_tolerance: 0.1 samples_tolerance_retries: 3 samples_result: median Die Pins sind natürlich nur für das hier verwendete BTT Octopus gültig, den Rest kannst du denke ich problemlos übernehmen.
310 x 310 mm With these linear rails only 260 x 260 can be used, thus I'm going to change the rails in the near future. I think a print area of up to 290 x 290 is possible without modifying the frame.
To be honest, nothin on this printer is standard anymore. All that is left over from an original Ender 5 Pro is the frame. The BLTouch probe is needed for the 3-point-leveling system „hydra“. If you want to learn more about the conversion, check out the ZeroG GitHub: zerogdesign.github.io/index.html
@@peterr.4768 Heres the correct link discord.com/invite/gzJP2s8 And here you'll find all info on the Mercury conversion including BOMs & STLs (no hydra, as it is still in beta): zerog.one/index.html
