Do you have to zero Mq everytime we close the app and restart?

You do not need to re-zero mQ just the probe. MQ stores the initial zero.

Man, I'm going to get some Brawndo the Thrist Mutilator stickers. Really People don't know to calibrate or zero their equipment. Idiocracy. My 15yr daughter knows this.
