that flat planning surface, rail and lower rocker is quite similar to my 2010 Pyranha Recoil which I am guessing you also need to keep an active paddle in the water.

Surprisingly body position is more of a big factor then active blade if your paddling forward or in the center position it tracks very well but if you lean back and rudder or try back seat driving it you better hold a blade back there or it will just go wherever

@@WadeHarrison yes I found that also to be true in my Recoil so I moved the seat all the way forward. I found that many times without an active paddle in the water I would 'catch' that massive edge/rail...moving the seat forward helped a lot.

Thank you, was a great meeting you, as you stated, I got it as a rescue boat, the edge really comes into play in hole/trough , it bounces you out. I also got the boat because I live in manky area and she bounces off rocks. The weekend of this review, I actually go to do a rescue of a paddler pinned on rocks, I was able to zip in, grab their boat with them in it and got both them safely out. You do have to be an active paddler with boat, (blade in the water), I do paddle it center, which is actually all the way forward, for some reason Zet left an extra inch in one of the adjustment slots? Like the yak, I am dated😂 I would love them to upgrade the Bow and Stern Ok Wade, now that you got to run a boat of mine that I really like the control of the boat, do you think a Zet Cross would be a good choice for a yak just for me, when I am not a safety or guide.

So true totally see the many uses of this design and thats why ZET still has it in their line up in 2022 it was slightly ahead of it’s time when it dropped..

That boat has been around since at least 2015. A lifetime in creek boat design. My other thought is that even tho they market it as a large, it more of a medium sized boat. This is the first video i have seen that a boat caught you out and flipped you. Not what you want in a creek boat.

Ok 2015 sounds about right and yup that’s a long time for a a creeker to be around And true By today standards I agree it’s really a big medium and that back edge is very sneaky it got me coming out the last drop on comp side and again when trying a spin in Mwave I think it’s where that rail transition happens if it was me i would have ran that concave rail all the way out to the tail. And maybe they tried that and seen something in testing to fade it?

I actually paddle leaning alittle forward, and center of boat, so it is less of issue for me, when I first got it I did paddle seat back, the tail taught a lesson or 2 , but I run mostly class 3.
