Hi, I have this old tractor which I need to use mostly for mowing but I'm having some problems with it can anyone leave a comment to help answer my questions.
10w30 oil, the fuel tap should be out, the glass bowl is a water trap, the oil should be in the filter, as air is drawn in it hits the oil, and any solids, is trapped in the oil and sinks to the bottom. Change the oil asap, it looks terrible, the oil filters are fine brass mesh discs, which should be washed out and refitted. You should try to get the two o ring seals for the filter housing first.
Thanks Derek, it sounds like you know your stuff. All advice welcome. I forgot I posted the vid as have done all the things advised and given the zetor its second service since 1968 and it runs fantastically now, honestly it was a mess in oil filters. Still lots to do, brakes wheel bearings etc. Gets a little hot when pushed on really hot days, might be it's age maybe.
