does the zeus have lab scope options better than before with other models respectively the pico scope has lots of options and with this zeus i was wondering if this lab scope is getting upgrades also and if snap on is taking the time to keep up with the scope options
The scope on the Zeus is the same scope that was on the verus. I Bluetooth on the m2 meter scope a lot with mine but it doesn't really give you more options just more sample rate. I know of a guy that put his pico on his versus workstation. I don't think snap on will ever make a scope like a pico?? just my opinion. If your a guy that wants a high end scope i think the pico or a Tektronix is the way to go. I've had several Tektronix scopes in the past and just love them. Would like to save up for a new one. Snap on does offer a lot of accessories for their scopes and the guided help with pin outs.
Great vid, I was wondering if more than one screen could be shown. I just got mine but i find every time I’m in the scope option and try to go into a different sub menu it kicks the scope out or says only one application of the diag suite can be run at a time. I am subscribed to on demand and would like to toggle between the scope and the manual as you did, am I doing something wrong?
I bought a subscription to TST a auto magazine out of Austrailia. You get like 20 free auto diagnostic type software with your subscription and the waveform viewer is one of them.
Great video but I like my scope and scan tool separate for the reason that I can bounce between vehicles with the scan tool without having to disconnect my scope. Having the scope and scan tool in one just cuts the screen size in half which is another draw back. Also head to head comparison between Autel 908pro (which I have) and verus (which I also have) shows that either perform pretty well, but the autel has a slight edge on Asian and a big edge on European vehicles. Pico scope is the way to go in that respect. (if i want I can watch it on a huge flat screen TV.) Zues looks promising but the price tag is prohibitive. ($15000)
Yeah the price is to high but no one really pays that much. Its the same with their tool boxes. I use to have the scanner and scope separate and still do but i like having it all together on one screen plus i can maximize the scope or scanner anytime i want.I also have it hooked to a large monitor or actually a TV. Love the huge screen. Sometimes i'll run both my pico and Zeus scope together at the same time on the screen when i'm playing around. I don't use my Autel much anymore , European mostly but i hate euro cars ,just not very good on them. The snap on scanner has been making a lot of improvements on their Euro software though. If it was up to me i'd never work on another euro car !! LOL. I've got tons of accessories for my scopes and am a scope junkie to say the least. I like the pico and my Zeus scope but my favorite is Tektronix scopes by far. Their the best in my opinion! The learning curve on them is what turns most people off to them though. They actually tried in the 90's to launch automotive based meters and scopes and from what i heard most got returned like their 222a scope but had some success with their meters and their 20/20 quick scope. I had both and loved them. My 20/20 quick scope got smashed by a falling hood prop. And my meter grew legs and wondered off. I got one of those pocket scopes for Christmas! Its like that uscope that AES wave sells but i got the better one with 4 channels. I'm pleasantly surprised how well it does! I still have the original Vantage , vantage ultra, Zeus, pico,and the pocket scope so i don't need another scope but still would love to have a new Tektronix scope. 2018 is suppose to be the year where all the OEMS are suppose to allow access to their diagnostic stuff. So when i'm using my pass thru pro instead of picking programming you can pick diagnostics and it turn the pass thru into the factory scanner!! I've done that a few times with GM and several other OEMS that have already been offering that. So with a ZEUS and a pass thru pro you basically have the entire US market covered but you still have to pay the fee to use the factory software. It all varies in price but GM wasn't bad like $55.00 for a 3 day pass. Anyway i could ramble on forever... Hi question I have the M2 meter and I'm trying to connect to a bigger screen Bluetooth of course but when I connect it asks for a pin . I can find a pin anywhere on it was wondering how you connected it any help would be great I also just emailed snapon thanks
