Ronnie wins 61% of his frames - so loses 39% - a probability of losing a frame of 0.39. Prob of losing 5 in a row is 0.39**5 - about 0.01 or 1 in a 100. But in a match where there are many strings of 5 frames the chances are clearly much higher

Anda has a newborn child. Nappies aren't cheap. Most leading Chinese players banned for match fixing. So or he is free of pressure or trying to redeem good opinion about Chinese snooker. He doesn't really care who he plays against. He is not afraid anymore of big names. After English Open he enjoys snooker more, in a way that is not accessible to most players. I watched the whole game. Ronnie was very average today for his standards, the game against Carter was a big sign about his game. His opponent did what he had to do to win. Should be Tom Fords for the taking if he plays like he did Friday. 😢
To be honest i watched the entire match and Zhang was very very lucky at times for example he accidentally snooker, he got a fluke that allow him to continue break, when he missed he got away with it, when ronnie got a chance the balls are akward or when he split the pack there is no red ball to continue. But Zhang also played ok he didn't miss easy ball. So he won. Any other days Zhang could have easily lost 5 -9

That's a great comment but he was very embarrassing to watch today .. very poor play from someone described as the " GOAT" Ronnie was once the best player in the world , sadly...no more.. he can get beat quite easily and has in the last few years, a few white washes as well . Check out the roll as the red cross the middle pocket at 3:20 , it catches the near jaw and then seems to roll in more than half a ball, terrible at professional level.

Hes been written off for someone Sir , he's won no ranking event in something like 19 months. This was his 1st semi final since he last won Clearly see he's on a downward spiral to his career coming to an end im afraid. What was once the best player of all is no more . Players ranked 16 or even lower have given him couple of white washes . Sad to see but Hendry & Davis went the same way . Hopefully he will be sat with us soon in the commentary box with the other greats of snooker . Today's players are just too good for him. Put these Chinese players back in his 30 year career and hed not be holding 7 titles . Today is gonna hurt a lot of Ronnie fans when either Ford or Zhang pick up the sweet 🏆 God bless you 🙏

@@grayeve7918Time will tell but from his average performance in the semi's against someone who wasn't played exceptionally well , I'd beg to differ. His positional shots were terrible and some of those misses you'd think he was an amateur if it was the 1st time you'd seen him . Nowhere near the pocket. Maybe his eye sight isn't great with age ?? He turned up to win and sadly ,hes on a plane back to England , whilst the player deserves to be in the final , its looking to collect his trophy today 🏆 Hopefully Zhang 😉

@@grayeve7918 exactly and that is my point. Ronnie had a bad day but also he's had a bad couple of years and not up to scratch anymore. The best player is in the final and deserves to be there but some people are finding that very hard to accept.
Breaking news Ronnie has just confirmed his elbow starting playing up later in the match, so a completely valid reason for losing. Let's hope his elbow is better for the next tournament. 👍

Ronnie lost because of the pace of the match. He was clearly out of his natural flow and got agitated and wanted to win or lose on his terms. All these idiot comments saying hes finished... hes going to win another worlds. When he wants to win he wins.
