I absolutely love rags to riches stories such as this one! This shows people that it’s not about where you have been or come from, but it’s about where you are going. I hope and pray for even more success for that young woman and her husband & child!
She's married punk, buy some seeds and grow respect in your back garden so you can show it off next season. The world's becoming disgusting and totally shameless to boot!!
Everyone in China knows that SOHO builds the worst buildings. It's typical "looks good from far, but far from good". The buildings are functionally handicapped with some 30 story office buildings sharing just two elevators (all this is against Chinese building codes). The shoddy construction and materials are visible everywhere. You CANNOT find your way out of a parking garage in any of their structures!! Of course they know it because they don't own any of the buildings they've built. Typically, they flip the buildings as soon or even before it's completed by selling individual spaces to small investors who have no power to pursue them.
Chinese Govt. is giving rebates to developers like handing candy which has resulted in overdevelopment and ghost cities in China. The new buildings are already crumbling in a couple of years. No quality controls. She is in the right place at the right time. Just business as usual.
Great! I know you are shocked to get a text from me I want you to be calm, sincerely I want to introduce to you formally the farm of the future, that produces food to Urban cities. We welcome investors and friends of Square Roots farms. 💕💕
amazing but why?, oh, why,?? are so many details left out about her journey?? plus: what happened to her dad *after* her mom + the kids/she+her siblings were let out of the re-education camp??..but anyway: *how,* exactly, did she go from crying while sitting on her suitcase to *goldman-sachs??* what *exactly* did she do there at that job?? who noticed her and helped her?? *how* did she get a scholarship to university?? and other support had to have happened so she could eat and have a place to live in those days, right?? details, please. additionally, circumstances: what were they when she met her husband?? where did they meet?? what about him made her agree to marry him after only 4 days?? and was day 4 the same as the actual wedding day?? sounds like a possibility..but maybe that was only the decision day. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
No need to read too much into it. Carlin might be witty, but probably one-sided in criticism. His criticism of America held true when there were flaws in foreign policy. He belonged to the 60's. Probably thought all non-whites are tree-hugging saints.
She is a lovely lady. She start from down level. Same as many other big millionaires in china. Is not the parents to give it to them. They rise up by themself
As one of Chinese which doesnt have that much money like you, I'll say I need food and money but not demacrocy. I do understand when people have too much one thing then they want another thing , like my friends from Indian or some Africa country they do have democracy but not enough food , some of them was really think China's gov do well done job to their people, a lot better than their countrys gov as developing country.
*NOBODY BECOMES A MILLIONAIRE OR A BILLIONAIRE BY WORKING FOR OTHERS AND DEPENDING ON THEM, GOOD INVESTMENT BRING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, AND CONSISTENCY BRING BILLIONS, THE MARKET IS ALL ABOUT BTC AT THE MOMENT NOW*
I think that this feature, as good as it is, is a little skewed. While this focuses on this woman as the main feature, her success came from working with her husband, indeed, from following and helping to support and to develop his goals and company. Two are better than one. It's doubtful she would have done any of this without linking to him. Studies have found that people who make winning marriages like this one end up in life better off than if singles. And they raise outstanding children too. It was his strength that got all of this going and lead it forward, while she stepped in with her special skills to make it beautiful. Strength and beauty. What a combination! I'm curious why they didn't give him and their marriage equal time?
Madam Lesley Stahl, the world we inhabit is quite enormous and please be mindful there are 195 countries within it, America is not the only country. Only one of many. And the so-called "American dream" is done, over, gone. Folks in China that are doing well economically should be referred to as Chinese Dream, and Africans doing well in Africa are referred to as the African Dream. Either country has anything to do with America. Furthermore, America is no longer set the tone in the world stage. We don't live in the past the world has moved on.
She is married to Greenspan, the old guy who had the job before Berneke. He probably owns the media she works for. Illuminati/cabal people who make all the rules and bend the laws.
I am beginning to see why US citizens are grinding slowly down down down along with the entire nation... I have seldom seen so many viper-negative comments relative to another human beings hard-earned success.
englishvinal8 she made it big doing real estate. That is highly respectable but to call her the next Steve jobs shows just how desperate the Chinese are for innovative talent.
Joe Mama, listen carefully to what they said. They called her the steve jobs of the architecture world. First thing is steve jobs was only a visionary and design focused. The actual heavy lifting and coding came from his team of coders and wozniack who actually made it work which some would argue was a lot harder too do. Someone like bill gate who did the coding himself and the early vision himself. So she is very much like Steve Jobs but for the architecture world. Just looking at the building she made compared to the normal building projects and you can see the massive difference. Maybe you are not interested in the architecture world so you look down on her title as not as visionary as Steve.
Bill Gates did not Write the Disc Operating System for IBM, that made MS, Billions.. It was Tim Patterson, & he had his Own Company... It sold for 50,000. His worth, less than 2 Billion... Greed Rules, but war is the only equalizer... Peace...!!! How to get rich??? A new Slavery is on a Rise...
Please. She is saying exactly what the american audience wants to hear. You think she doesnt bribe? You really think all chinese believe in democracy and crave it? Half of the chinese people living here in the usa doesnt appreciate our democratic system.
So true, people in China is longing for democracy and we all believe this will happen soon. People who has democracy in their country are taking things for granted and don’t value that.
It's so typical for people to bring down a successful person. Jealous that you don't have the connects nor ambition to do what she did? No one ever does it alone. There are always people who give them opportunities to grow, without that, they'd be nowhere. That's what's wrong with society these days.
The interviewer was a bit much, I wish she gave her more time to think and explain her responses before cutting her off, however watching this still showed how brilliant of a woman Zhang Xin is. Very inspiring.
She has predicted democracy sooner than 20 years. This interview was done in 2013. It has been 6 years and China has regressed from a communist state to a dictatorship. There is no end in sight for Mao 2.0. Let's se what the next 14 years brings.
China has to stay communist or regress to dictatorship If It wants to be the superpower of the world. Democratic China? They wouldn't compete with the USA
I think she's got her finger on the right button: the wheels of freedom, including democracy, is imprinted in every Chinese heart. People crave it, corporations want it, the nation needs it. China's repressive stature is slowly but surely coming to the end it richly deserves. A new, free China - free from the shackles of old traditions and archaic thinking -- would be a benevolent giant among nations.
I dont think there is no property bubble, because a lot of ppl migrants to beijing for business. Beijing s becoming international place likeNY. She has positive think and self confidence. That s her key!. So many american chinese start building property business in singapore. Malaysia vanchouver and shang hai
She is such an inspiration to me! But her most profound statement comes at 11:43: she is against socialism and craves for the democracy that America has. It's funny how there is a segment of American youth that is looking to socialism, but they do not really understand the cost that would entail. #No2Socialism
Common misconception from Americans that socialism resembles/equals communist drama... The American youth want what European countries have, like Sweden and the Netherlands. As a Dutch citizen I can agree that I would not want to live in the USA! USA is great if you are a billionaire, but for everybody else the standard of living is much less than in the Netherlands.
I like her. I don't think you can be a billionaire anywhere without having some dirty dealings, but at least she owns up to the fact that she operates in a corrupt country. I was actually surprised how critical she was of China. I expected a much more neutral or fake answer.
Interviewer seems like she want to find a flaw and slightly mock her (in western vs chinese way) but it seems hard job to make her look silly and her stiff face and mean looking eyes get melted into beauty and smile :)
so the next question is, what is she doing to make China a better place? It sounds like she has a lot of sympathy for the poor and heavy dislike toward the corrupt society, but what is she doing to change all of that? Where is her money going to?
Ooh i like her. She's NOT afraid to divulge the corruption in china and the people longing for democracy. Thats very dangerous on her part to say negative about china. it will affect their business.
How did you afford college? I helped a lottery people on my own yet I couldn't raise one penny to support my work. So interesting.. some people raise money on gofundme to go to spring break etc. We are living life upside down that's why there's so much suffering in the world. It's God's judgement against selfishness...
No matter how much they build, Chinese buildings deteriorate faster than buildings in the US. The pollution in China is dreadful and even health-harming, even weather channels have a real-time air quality index in major cities. Also, constructions in China have lesser regulations than in the US, construction laborers do not wear the correct protection gears.
I’m new to f.o.re.x t.r.a.d.e and i have been making huge l.o.s.s es but i recently see a lot of people ear.ning from it.Can someone pleas tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Her story does not add up. Poor and broke yet she was allowed to move to London? She said her husband came from a poor providence she did not say that he was poor. She made money the old fashion way she married it. Yas she deserves respect for her accomplishments but the story does not add up.
Maybe Chinese officials want it this way. She is charming, cute, well educated make Americans to goo goo gah gah over over her and are charmed by her Westerness meantime the People Liberation Army continue to profit. All of her money is likely in China and the officials can confiscate instantly and she may sleep again on the desk with dictionary as a pillow. So I agree things are not adding up. DOn't have me wrong I m happy for her and I wish her more success.
*THE CRYPTO AND FOREST TRADE CURRENCY MARKET HAS BEEN GOOD NEWS LATELY, MANY PEOPLE IN IT ARE SEEKING A GREAT RETURN INVESTING TO SECURE MORE PROFIT AND ENSURE SUCCESS*
The speech in the end of the clip make me cry and excited because she just said the truth. That's what is declined by the official voice in China everyday.
how easy it is to take credit for work where actually the speedy growth of real estate in china is the main reason for child labour and other human rights violation.
India has the world's largest pool of child labour yet there's no real estate growth. India called itself biggest democracy, yet hindu caste system continued to enslave lower caste people, lmao.
She's very fortunate that the West gave her the opportunities she had - her education and job opportunites. Without these, she would not be where she is today.
By your own logic, you must then bow in respect to the Arabs & Muslims who destroyed the Roman tyranny & brought civilization to a backward Europe during the feudal dark ages. After all, the universities you boast today were modeled after theirs, from Cambridge, Oxford to those of Holland, France & Germany. its you who is fortunate! that they took you under their wing & taught you, how to govern, run an economy, logic, algebra, science & the use of soap to clean yourselves. You're in no position to beat your chest & take credit for any one's achievements when every thing you have is borrowed. Johnny come lately. As for this great lady, its talented ppl like her & her husband that make countries & companies great not the other way around.
hi my name is brian, I'm homeless in ct. for 30s populism, for 43, for Obama for healthcare for real estate in us to compliment federalist investments in wto to china. I'm forever young typically in argyles and sandals eyes moving investing in macro for a "better place". my feet do not touch the ground toward belt and road to traditional calculus style investing in china👆🤔
