Liked your review. I was really interested in this Gimbal for my new Sony A6700. However the reviews on Amazon have been less than stellar. I'm now undecided.
Just got it. It balance a7iv with sigma 28-70 f2.8 just fine with a little tilt overload. The only concern I have is a locking plate. There is no double safety and you can accidently slide the button to release.
The M2S - mine would never level properly - even after 6 axis calibration. After someone with the transmount adapter said they don't have a problem leveling - I got one to at least get it working.. so another $100 towards the M2S.. and finally it levels properly after 6 axis calibration. (And using the motor parameter adjustments wasn't a fix since it would go out of level if you turn it around until it decided to level off again after a few seconds).
Awesome video! I have a Canon R50 and I am looking for a gimbal which is not to expensive or too bulky. My concern is whether the lenses I have would justify getting a gimbal. I have a nifty 50, 18-45mm and a 55-250mm. I have notices that people mostly use cine lenses with their gimbals. Will I be wasting my money if I get a gimbal using the 3 lenses I have. I just make videos as a hobby and for memories for myself.
I mostly want to shoot with my Xperia 1 MK5 and Sony A7C, should I buy this or the M2-S? I like that the M2-S is slightly lighter (500g vs 750), doesn't sound like much, but when traveling it makes a difference. And I also like that the M2-S is physically smaller and less flashy (also cheaper at this point). What do you think? Good idea or bad investment and I'll be missing the M-3S?
We missed talking about one of the most important things today, recording vertically, where the trend today is just to record vertically for content creation, I’ll have to look in another review.
Thanks Arthur. Would you recommend this ZV 1F, I also have an A6400, but mostly for stills. I wanted to use the ZV for video only, and am using the shooting grip, but it just isn't cutting it for stabilization. Portability is a key driver.
I know that might be simple question, but how to position your face in the frame, so that it is always properly positioned while walking and vlogging? I tried to vlog on GO mode and follow mode and it is hard to olways keep face in good frame...I use sony Zv1, and have set up auto focus on Sony etc. The zhiyun crane m3s app does not have tracking mode...

It's really late to comment and I don't know if I'll get a reply. But I'm really confused about one thing. Can you PLEASE HELP??? it's for M3, NOT M3S! Can I control the exposure triangle (zv e10) with the crane M3 via USB?? I want to do photography and videography at the same time while travelling with the same camera, and this will be a great feature if it's there. PLEASE HELP!!!!
My M3 isn't charging my Sony ZV 1. I have the correct cable connecting the camera to the M3. I can start and stop recording using the M3, but for some reason, the M3 is not charging the camera. Must be a settings issue? I've tried a couple of different settings, but no luck yet. Suggestions? We are going to Europe soon and I'd like the gimbal charging the camera so I don't have to change batteries every half hour.
@@HellenLee-yz2oj That was it! The M3 is charging the camera now. I've attached a power pack to the gimbal so the power pack is charging the gimbal while the gimbal is charging the camera. I should be able to record all day if I want to. Thanks.
The camera is in the list but the lens maybe a little heavy. zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230510/1683689338371-KY8RBwis.pdf
thank you so much. That's right, although I see in that list that it includes lenses like the "Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 Di III RXD" which is more or less of the same dimensions and heavier. and it does not include the "sony 10-20 f4" and it does include the "sony 10-18 f4".
thanks for the video, but I wanted to ask you if it is possible to control the zoom on the camera through the m3s stabilizer, as it was possible to do it on crane 2? I still use the second version precisely because I can control the zoom and shutter on the camera. thanks for the answer
It can control the zoom. But you need to check the compatibility list. Not all camera support this function. zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230518/1684378348105-ipk8mjiw.pdf
You can refer this list show the related support function: zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20240329/1711678714193-Y8kNsHf2.pdf
Hello! Could you please help me? going crazy with the crane m3s. I connected my sony zv1 with my new gimbal crane m3s by using bluetooth. Even though it's connected to the gimbal, I can't control my camera with it. What can I do? Thanks
Dude I'm really stuck between weebill 3s and crane m3s. Since I'm low un budget and I also have a small camera (zve-10) and shoot with my ohone from time to time too, i wanted to buy the m3s, but most of my videos are vertical and they all say the m3s is not that good for using in vertical mode. However, It seems using the vertical mode on m3s is more convenient since it doesn't need rebalancing. Can you help me make my mind please? (Another question, if I buy the standard version of the m3s, can i add a normal phone mount to it? Or it has to be it's own mount?
Crane M3S not support vertical mount, but it with the Portrait mode to support camera vertical shooting. About the phone holder, it seems that it need to purchase the combo package to get the phone holder.
@@HellenLee-yz2oj Thanks. I bought the Weebill 3s and guess what? I found out that I can even install a regular phone mount on it and use it for my phone too. 😄
Crane M2S, as Canon M50 in the compatible list of crane M2S which support video control, but the lens is not in the compatibl list, you may refer manufacture web compatibl list.
I think these two gimbals are for different size cameras. Crane M3S is much more lightweight. Also, we can not compare the stabilization between them. Choose the one more suitable for your device. 😊
No, it not support E-ZOOM, you can refer the compatible list: zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230817/1692254773481-wdpd4ba4.pdf
the camera is in the list of Crane M3 but the lens are not. zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230518/1684404788732-tb4xHYyY.pdf
samyang 24-70 f2.8 doesn't on the compatibility list,zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230510/1683689338371-KY8RBwis.pdf so I think M3S doesn't support, Weebill 3S should be.
Maybe you can refer this mounting list: zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230725/1690274300318-PGCQ6rRh.pdf If it has a similar weight and length to the other lenses on the compatibility list, it should be possible to install a balance.
6400 is in the compatibility list and you can check the function here::zhiyun-website-shenzhen.oss-cn-shenzhen.aliyuncs.com/instruction/20230625/1687662471830-hRzQJzPM.pdf
