I suggest once you have the gimbal balanced as described in this video, you also check the balance in the underslung position. For me (EOS R, 50mm prime) the gimbal was not quite balanced in the underslung position. After balancing it there, it remained balanced in the upright position.

Tanks for the great walk through! Yesterday I picked up a Ronin SC for my Sony A7III with Tamron 28-75mm lens. The entire rig with a Rode microphone attached weighs just over 3 lbs. This is well short of the 2kg (4.4 lbs) stated capacity. The Ronin worked ok at first but I started noticing it would lose control of the camera and flop around. I tried multiple balancing procedures and the auto tune. It would check out ok and then continue to not perform well. Today I returned the Ronin and picked up the Weebill-S. Wow! I'm so glad I made the switch. I got it setup in 20 minutes and was able to shoot a few hours of footage. I have almost no gimbal experience and I feel like I got some great shots. If you have a heavier camera and lens combo, you can't go wrong with the Weebill!

I thought this was the basic setup video for the Weebill-S and then at 2:36 he's talking about the zoom controller which is a separate item.

Need a more in-depth video on the menu system.

I bought Weebill S yesterday. But I’m not able to connect it to my Panasonic Lumix G7 camera. The cables provided with Zhiyum Weebill S is not matching. Can you help me to solve this issue? How can I connect my cam to Weebill S gimbal?

I didn't get a focus motor with my Weebill-S.

Great video. Haven't used DSLR type cameras with this type of gimbal so my question is - once you have the gimbal balanced for a camera/lens combo, when you remove it, can you put it back on the gimbal as is or do you have to re-balance it every time for the same rig?

I don't seem to have gotten a zoom/focus motor is does that come standard?

Hi. Need the weebil s settings. My gimbal seems to he very shaky even while walking. I have 2.05 update installed. U can share the settings. I will be able to Do it myself

Using a Sony A7iii... Unable to operate camera record thru the gimble red record button. What does the red record bottom on the gimble supposed to do? Is there a quick release camera method where you can remove and remount the camera back on the gimble without having to rebalance it? What is the point of having the camera wire connect to the gimble, when you can't control any function of the camera from the gimble? The wire connection is useless, just like record button. They serve no function to operate the camera thru the gimble.

When using the rizer plate, the camera is always top heavy. Tilt axis is already at its lowest position, so I can't balance that axis perfectly... Is there any way to add more weight to the bottom so the tilt axis can be balanced when it is already set at its lowest position?

My Nikon D850 does not have a micro USB and I cant figure out a way to connect the two. HELP

I’m trying to put my Canon R5 + 24-70mm lens on my new Weebill S and having troubles. I’m trying to balance the first tilt and I have the camera as far back on the plate and the plate as far back on the gimbal as it will go and it is still leaning forward. Am I missing something?

I'm using the Sony ZV e10 with 18-135 Sony lens. Went thru auto balance, got a check mark but seconds later the whole rig started vibrating and I noticed the camera slowly tilting down. What am I doing wrong?

The follow focus usb-c cable is too short. I used it on a sony a7iii and tamron 28-75. It can't reach the gimbal port at all. I tried adjusting the plate and the rod and the motor position a dozen times. Just didn't work. I noticed that in the video, you had the exact same lens and camera, but you were putting the gear ring on the zoom ring instead of the focus ring of the lens. And your cable is all straightened, if not stretched.

Quick question. I'm trying to find out if this Gimbal would work with a GoPro. I have a Canon SL2 and I only want to have/use one gimbal. I'm wondering if the GoPro has enough weight to initialize the motors on the Weebill-S. Thanks in advance.

Zhiyun lock mode issue Hi, I've got a serious issue my beloved Weebill S. To begin with, I must say that I had this issue with 3 different Weebill S... The "before last" annoyed me so much I was sure it was a fulty unit, so I sent it back and I directly purchased the one I've got now. Yesterday I gave it a try and boom, same issue !!! So, everything works fine with this gimbal except the "LOCK MODE" (not the lock system). In this specific mode the camera has to point in the same direction without moving. Unfortunately in my case, it does move, pan to be precise. After a couple of minutes it panned like 5 or 6 degrees. So it makes it useless for hyperlapses, for example. I can't believe I am unlucky enough to be the only one having such a trouble with my Weebill S. My question is : do you have, guys, the same problem with yours ? If so, did you find a way to solve it ? Thank you very much !

Hi, I just bought Weebill S for my Sony a6600. But unfortunately I couldn't get it to control the camera. Tried Multi USB and Micro USB cables in the package. None of them worked, as if they were not connected. Has a6600 been actually tested by Zhiyun? If you think I did something wrong, could you please send me the instruction to make it work? Thanks!

I got different rod clamp of zoom focus motor than the one shown in the video I am unable to attach zoom focus motor on rod.. Tightening screws of motor and clamp are collapsing to each other

There is some inaccurate info in this tutorial. It turns out that in order to control the Sony a73 you need to set the camera to Panasonic in the menu and use the micro USB to micro USB cable, not the micro USB to Multi cable.

Hi, how are you? Two weeks ago I bought the same gimbal, I was testing it with two different cameras, but the same lens. With the first camera, a Sony A3500 with a 18-105mm F4 lens, it worked absolutely perfect. Now with the second camera, a Sony A6000 with the same lens as before. When I turn on the gimbal, it starts to vibrate a lot, i mean like hell. So I quickly disable the rotors by holding the POV button because i'm scare to break it down. I have followed absolutely all the instructions, step by step. I have tripled checked everything from balance to trying a different rotor level (low vibrates less, but still) and still get the same result. I searched on the internet for the problem and there is no topic about it. I want to add that I have't mounted any other accessories or anything, only the camera with the lens. Please, if you can think of what could be happening, I would be very grateful if you let me know because I can't understand what is it. Thanks a lot. Cheers!!

So the multi cable for Sony cameras really does nothing but allow the gimbal to charge the camera. Pressing the record button within the app does nothing?

I have a Lumix GH4 camera. Is it compatible with this gimbal? I use both Panasonic lenses as well as older Manual Nikon lenses with Metabones adapter. Will these be ok on the Zhiyun?

In the compatibility list there is a mention of Olympus OM-D E-M1 mark II, I have the E-M5 Mark III, which is basically the same in a lot of ways. Unfortunately I can't connect to the camera. Is it possible to make the E-M5 Mark III work with the Weebill S?

Anyone know how to get bolts into the slot of the plate? 1/4*20 bolts that came with it are to large to protrude through either the adjustment plate nor the groove in the riser plate? It's the screws that came with it, but it looks like. I need to use a drill bit to open up the slots enough to get the threaded end to squeeze through slots? Can anyone tell me why I am having to do this before I get my drill out?

Hello There Im having some issue with my weebill s first I need to manual adjust the horizontal level by Roll Angle for 2 degree and second when tilting up with the joystick after 45 degree it loose horizontal level again. Is that something common or my gimbal is faulty. Thanks

Hi, i jave bought a weebill s just few days ago but i have a problem. First: my horizon is not straight (i can see it in my videos) and all is well balanced (i’m sure of that). How is possible? How i can fix it? Second: when i’m using image transmission sistem i need to enable css in camera menu on the weebill s but at this point my sony a7 iii start to charge from the gimbal, is possible to disable this? Why even mention a focus motor in a video about the basic setup? Made me incredibly confused at first since it doesn't come with the gimbal.

A technical question: after setting the follow focus to "Max" and "Point A point B", how do you memorize your new settings. In my case every time I've done it and turn off the Weebill S and then switch it on my follow focus settings have gone. Someone can tell me how to do?
