Just bought my Zhiyun Weebill Lab Gimbal and watched several videos and with no good results. Your video was the best!! The most detailed on balancing then all the rest. I had it leveled in just a few minutes. Good job!! Thanks !!!
I've decided to get the Zhiyun Weebill "S" Gimbal . But this tutorial is by far the best 8th grade level explanatory tutorial I've ever seen. I'll be using it on a Canon 5D Mk IV with a Samyang 14mm F2.8 AF Wide Angle lens.
dude i watch almost 4videos before i found you, damm this gymbal it is more dificult than the freaking ronin s to balance, i told to myself i won t gave a like or anything if he doesnt help me as the others, luckyly you did it so i suscribe touch the belt and give a like and comment thanks dude finally i balance this freaking gymbal
@@MomentumProductions1992 I really like it so far. Just got the quick connectors. Now for practicing and getting familiar with the controls. I have a GH5 and 12-35. Seems to be a really good fit for this size gimbal. Next I'm going to try it with my LX10. That was one reason I got this one. It has a lower weight limit of 300 grams.
BIG ISSUE! I just got mine today and followed your tutorial exactly with the same balanced results. However, when I try to go into low mode with the handle being paralel to the ground, the rotating motor (closest to handle buttons) gets wobbly feeling and starts acting weird. Again, it's balanced just like in your video but I'm having this strange result.
Might I just say good sir that out of all the tutorials that I've watched, yours is by far one of the easiest to understand for an autistic nerd like me. Thank you so much for taking the time to throw together a comprehensive tutorial.
Why do people want you to "Like" and "Subscribe" before you watch the video? What if I don't like it? That means I will have been lied. I feel like you're trying to make me a liar Momentum productions😀😀
This is an incredibly good tutorial. Easy to understand and no filler. Just really great all around. Much better than Zhiyun’s official tutorials. Thank you!
Just want to share that EOS R + 16-35 f/2.8L with EF adapter DOES NOT WORK with Weebill, so those considering Weebill be aware, I wasted my money getting it. (Updated: refer to my update below for the combination that works very well, I still prefer to stick to the Weebill because of its size. The cable and function still does not work, but I prefer to not use the cable anyways, that is another item thou not heavy adds to the dynamics of balancing the Weebill, I am using the built in Canon EOS R WiFi function with Canon App).
Erdem Tuğcu no way. This gimbal works only with small mirroless camera like sony or panasonic, olympus leica etc...it works with canon and nikon but only with small body. it is not for canonians and nikonians mate :))
I was banging my head against the wall watching other weebill balancing tutorials. 6 friggen hours and nothing but frustration. You sir are the man. Been a big fan for a long time, and I'm not sure why I didn't come here first. The close-ups....the slow explanations...the errors that you'd make in the balancing and not edit out....all helped immensely.
I had my first Shoot today and was so excited to try My new Webill.. Got it all balanced and ready only to realize I have forget the batteries at home 😂😂
Hello, and thank you for this video. I need help please: when I calibrate my stabilizer on the tilt axis, the plate slides when I point the lens up or down, while the screw of the plate is tight... Could you please tell me why the plate does not stay fixed when the screw is tightened? I'm desperate because I can't use my stabilizer... Thanks in advance for your help
Thanks man! This was great. Love how you assumed we weren't going to get each movement correct on the first try and breezing through. I didn't need to pause.
om putra... mau tanya nie... gmn sih cara bikin video vortex yg video nya muter itu...? sy koq coba zhiyun nya aja yg muter video nya sih ga muter om... mohon pencerahan nya om... makasih
I fought tooth and nail trying to understand how to balance this, but your walkthrough made it so easy to understand. I was able to have my rig completely balanced after one playthrough of your video. Thank you for sharing this and making my life easier 🙏🏽
This just made me realise I was missing 2 axis whenever I balance my weebill lab! Probably why I couldn’t access the vortex mode!!! I will definitely balance it more acutely now! Thank you for this wonderful video
What abaout the compatibility on 70d AND 77d ? Gimbal ir works ? I have a 77d AND the gimbal Weebill Lab S AND I have problem i Can see the screem of my cámara AND I can't recording :( pls help
Can anyone help me? I have a problem... I have the Eos 90D and balancing the camera was quickly done. I connected the camera to the gimbal with the wire, I connected the ‘focus mount wheel thing’ with the wire to the gimbal and that works fine. With the app I can access live view and change camera settings but there is one thing that doesn’t work... the start/stop button for film. Not the button on the gimbal, nor the button on the camera nor the button on my phone works. When my camera is connected I can’t take pictures and shoot film anymore... I have been looking through my settings for three hours and googled ‘o plenty’ but I can’t find the solution. Somebody please help!
Hi!! I need to estabilize a Sony a6400 with a zoom 20-70 but it has a different large if its open or close.... so how do I have to estabilize if I use a zoom? Thanks!! (sorry for my english....)
Omg!... thank you sooo much. I only purchased my Weebill 2 days ago, and being my first gimbal I had no idea what I was doing nor how to balance this thing.. I watched a few other videos on RU-vid but it was all too confusing.. I was beginning to the think had I made the right choice as being the gimbal for me... the damn thing wouldn't vortex roll... it wouldn't point right up (kept only going to about 140degrees) and kept vibrating... now I have watched your video it's sooo much clearer. This balance was with my Panasonic 4K Camcorder... I have yet to try this with my Panasonic LUMIX TZ80...so hopefully I can get those other cameras working with this gimbal. Also is there anyway we can connect the cameras to the Weebill (without cords) so that we can press record without actually using the record button n the camera?? (Say via Bluetooth?).
Thank you so much for watching! I am glad it helped! Unfortunately, no, you can only use a wired connection currently. That's a great suggestion though!
Been watching this video over and over trying to get perfect balance with EOS R and the new 35mm RF lens. SOOOO close, but the roll is off on one side. Would it be better with the 40mm STM + adapter?? They seem pretty comparable in length. Wondering if it’s “good enough” balanced at this point 😞
after watching a lot of tutorials and sample footages of weebill lab , i can assume big part of the footages was so shakky means not that smooth stable, even many of them do the ninja walk while walking. is it because the balancing not perfect enough ? or it because the size of the gimbal ? when it comes into underslung mode / flashlight mode , do you really think we still can see sony's monitor clearly when we shoot outdoors condition ? any tips and guidance would be really appreciate it sir 👍🏽
I finally got my Zhiyun Weebill "S" Gimbal for my Canon 5D Mk IV and Samyang 14mm F2.8 AF Wide Angle lens. Set up was real easy. Thanks. BTW Super wide lens works the best in stability.
fantastic vid!!! i have 2 cameras i want to use with this gimbal. i would like to balance both cameras and then leave the quick release plates on both cameras so i can switch cameras without rebalancing.what plates would i need to leave on cameras in order to accomplish this. the manfrotto 501 and what other quick release plate would i have to purchase.arca-swiss quick release plate?if so where can i purchase it
This is the best set up video. All the other guys just brush over vital things but you took your time to explain new things I never know. God bless you.
Hi Josh, just wanted to say a big thanks for this tutorial, perfectly explained on all levels. Received my new Weebill Gimbal today and really looking forward to testing it out. Its all balanced now and wow - its my first ever handheld gimbal and hopefully it can just add to the smooth footage in my Vids. Awesome mate, keep up your great work. ;) Liked and Subbed
@@MomentumProductions1992 All good - love your stuff mate. I only have a handful of RU-vidrs in my list who do camera work and you are one of them now. Along with Peter M and Matti H Now just gotta find how to get the App working with Android.
@@MomentumProductions1992 Had issue when first tried to download firmware, then that ended up getting past that screen, then issue with no Wifi but it was all connected with wifi and bluetooth, then it got past that screen and finally It just keeps staying on the updating firmware 1/2 one of two screen. And wont go any further, I did read some other people having trouble with Android and IOS has a more success rate. Switch on gimbal is in lock position I tried my IOS but unfortunately only have Ipod 5th gen and its not compatible with the APP. I'll get it sorted - I'll just keep trying later - current firmware is on 1.82 If you like I could send an email, don't want to waste your time though.
selling my Ronin S for this, my setup is A6500 + 18-105, Sigma 16mm, Sigma 30, Sigma 56mm and Ronin is very heavy, i think this going to be the best companion for my setup, great video, but one thing is bothering me before switching, i have placed manfrotto 200pl base so i can easily put my camera in and out, but with weebill i have heard you cant put anyother plate on top of this otherwise will loos its center and never balance and that bothers
Great vid josh. i have a7iii and idk which gimbal to get. I like weebill size but footage looks shaky. My other options are feiyu ak2000 crane 2 (which cant break down making it hard to travel with) and my dad said maybe ronin s. Pls give me your honest opinion. Im 13 and im small so the crane 3 is like half my size so thats out of picture
Also josh i use vmp+ i can mount on any gimbal be using 1/4” or rosste mount but the weebill takes a bit more work to make it happen. Once i add this and phone monitor or monitor it becomes pretty decently sized sooo idk what to get pls help
@@jimmyhidalgo2680 I am using with Sony A7iii and works well, but I'm only using lightweight primes like Batis 18mm, or Sony 35mm. Putting a rode on top is always going to make it harder to balance, as it will get top heavy. But you can mount the rode using the side rosette mount, this way the mic is not relying on the motors to balance the extra weight. some other owners I think have had some issues with much heavier G master zoom lenses, so something to look into a bit more if that's your requirement
Can go with the FeiyuTech AK2000 as it has more functions than Crane 2 and its functions are same as Ronin S just the Ronin S has better app performance. I own the FeiyuTech AK2000 and I can say this gimbal works really well for smaller camera like Sony a6000 and once you found the perfect balance and adjusted the perfect motor settings for each axes using the app, 99% of the jitters and shakiness will be gone even while running. By the way, FeiyuTech AK2000 has a touch screen LCD which is the first camera gimbal with Touch Screen LCD and this makes the operations much more easier. It has a follow focus that can be bought too attach to the camera too to control the focus and the zoom without using hands. It can turn 360 and do the inception mode too, just like the Ronin S but the price is way cheaper. Now I switched my camera to Nikon D7000 and when I turn the AK2000 left/right, the pan axis will produce sounds maybe because the camera is too heavy. Thats the downside. Hope you can give it a try!
Hey Josh, love the tutorials! Great work as always. I bought the Weebill Lab for my Canon 70D setup...it's my first gimbal so I had a few questions in order to make sure I don't damage the motors. Should all three axes be unlocked at all times while shooting or does this vary by shooting mode? It's unclear to me if the gimbal simply "deactivates" the motors it doesn't need in a given shooting mode or if the user is required to lock/unlock the individual axes based on shooting mode. My Weebill keeps showing "axis lock" on the display and I'm not sure what this means and don't want to damage the unit. I know it's balanced properly and well within the max payload. Thanks very much...really appreciate your work!
What abaout the compatibility on 70d AND 77d ? Gimbal ir works ? I have a 77d AND the gimbal Weebill Lab S AND I have problem i Can see the screem of my cámara AND I can't recording :( pls help
Thanks Josh!! Thanks to your tutorial I Just balanced my sony a7iii with the Samyang 35 1.4 AF :) Works perfectly Do you know if you can mount an Atomos Ninja V to the Weebill?
hi I am using canon 77D with Zhijun weevil lab..but I could not be able to setup my camera cable with the lab..can you please let me know how this can be done...many thanks
hallo zhiyun, when i turn on my weebill lab, there is "upgrade" warning, then change to "X" sign.. the gimbal didn't work.. i can't use it. what should i do?
