Martin, its Chinese Mid Autumn Day. In Chinese Lunar Calendar, this will be Aug 15, and in the western solar calendar, it will be someday in September or October. On this day, the moon will be full and the biggest in the year (yeah, the full moon near the nearest point between moon and earth). Chinese will eat moon cakes and watch the moon. In Chinese culture, full moon represents the unity of the family. So when you have some family members who are far away from home, they will watch the moon simultaneously. The whole family shares the same full moon, and best wishes will be shared among them as well. In old days when modern communication tools (such as telephone, internet) were not invented, watching the same moon at mid autumn day is a spiritual communication among family members in China. I hope this can help you have a further understanding why they have a fake moon there. Haha.
It's lunar new year autumn festival, it's outside, I believe and one of the most important festivals of the year. The song is actually titled Upwards Towards the moon, or left hand towards the moon. During this festival you also eat moon cakes made of red bean paste. Yes they have a better moon, and it's not in camera it's laser holographs for the lunar moths and other theatrical elements.
You are way too cute....... 'Does Chinese have a better moon'. You make me laugh when you say that with that cute facial expressions. Thank you for reacting to this performance.
Their harmonies are like pure genius and perfection. Their vocals play with the melody and create a visual display of an emotional roller coaster ride. As the lanterns rise so do their voices. Both are equally important to the song, the performance and each other. Love your reactions and passion for awesome talent and music. ❤️❤️💯%🇦🇺The special effects are Dynamic and Theatrical.
Sa Dingding has such a voice, even her low tones are amazing. Both she and Zhou Shen have great vocals....it's amazing that it's outdoor and I suppose the sound engineer had a tough time placing the speakers & configuring the delay haha... The music is good too.
Martin, glad to see you repond to my request. This is a show on 4th Channel of Chinese Central Television, which is the channel aiming at international audiances. That's why they provide English subtitles.
Yes, it's the Mid-Autumn Festival, the day when the moon is supposed to be fullest and brightest of the whole year. Chinese people eat mooncakes on this day.
Hi Martin, thanks for reacting to ‘Upward toward the moon’. I’m glad you love this song. The platform they’re using is a form of a halfway lagoon. That’s way there’s water reflection. The huge moth is the camera drone.
yes, cctv4 is called international channel so it has subtitles~ Sa DIngding is a really powerful singer, we usually call her “the member of the national team”😂 here´s her original performance in 2018 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FXeLqYsiZlE.html&ab_channel=AquilaYukiJRz, you can clearly hear her powerful vocal
I sent you this song’s link via Bilibili as well, lol. This whole performance is just amazing, the set is so beautiful, and their voices are pure gold.
I can see u really admired ZhouShen’s singings and his vocal. Here’s a celebration of the mid autumn festival, a show had different singers sang for 30 mins. Here’s ZhouShen’s performance, u r going to love it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ElKOZFVvVKM.html
"Do Chinese have better moon?" 😂 There is a famous poem more than 900 years ago, "千里共婵娟", which means although a thousand miles apart, we share the same moon at this moment. The one in this video is fake tho.
Yes, if you like the coroperation of ZHOU SHEN and SA DINGDING, this link provide a even better one (although background are not so huge). These songs are wrote by Sa Dingding, there's Tibet style in it.
