Wow, wow, wow! Probably the best beam routine ive seen in years. She had it all, every series was perfect, with no breaks, no wobbles. Her execution was outstanding, just stitch that landing up and it will be phenomenal!!! I'm behind these Chinese girls for some decent wins at this year's games. They are always the most technically perfect on most apparatus and that should be rewarded.
@@joannesallenbach45there isnt artistry in this routine either, yall are so biased. Her routine is absolutely stellar and her lines are beautiful, but just like with every other top beam routine, it's connection after connection with no choreo in between. Beam isn't supposed to have dance like floor anyway so judge fairly. Zhou's routine is still amazing regardless but it's annoying seeing people constantly bash other gymnasts for not having the same definition of artistry as you
This girl had the biggest glow-up out of no where last year as a third-year senior. Before Worlds last year she had only ever competed outside of China once as a junior at a small meet in Czechia. And now she's going to the Olympics!!
there are so many triple combos in this I don't even know where to start but her form is immaculate (minus the dismount landing), and her connections were so clean for each combo. The leaps, esp her ring... just ridiculous technique and flexibility. Sanne Wevers still my fav for beam (in terms of her style and what she can do on this event @ her age), but this routine here is definitely going to be one of the top routines to beat in Paris assuming all goes well for her.
While this, it's already May and everything Americans can think about is the amazing Douglas' super comeback (supposedly for the Olympics). Honestly, people are looking to 2022/2023 and getting so overconfident, counting with their regular team plus Simone to get the golds as guaranteed. Fact is, Simone _did_ feel challenged by Andrade individually in 2023 and the Chinese is really looking good this year. If they hit all 3 UB and 3 BBs and land on their feet on VT and FX, boy, this will be a fight.
HUH? LOL! Since when you can read minds to determine that it is a FACT that Simone DID feel challenged by Rebeca? But let us assume she did, what a RESPONSE! It is no mean feat to beat a REIGNING AA CHAMPION by 1.6+ points in that competition. So rare it is that ONLY Simone has done that and has done it TWICE now (2018 and 2023). The US is not looking back at 2023 for anything because all that is there to be attained is right before them as it is for everyone. All the teams are upgrading and so has the US team. If China or any other team increase their routines to collectively score a point and a half more then the US routines (which ALREADY start off at a THREE point advantage) would be increased to TRIPLE that point and a half. Yep, the FACT of the matter is the Chinese can possibly contend for silver but gold is out of their reach because their floor and vault is too weak for their bars and beam to absorb while the US is not weak on ANY apparatus.
Tbh I really have high hopes for China this year at the Olympics. I really think that they have a shot at a team gold/silver medal if their vault was stronger....
If they hit all the routines actually they may get gold….which would actually be very funny, eliminating the Russians from being a threat to only have the Chinese get the gold, I would love to see that happen haha 😛😅
China beam and bars would offset their weak vault and floor so long as they hit it with full difficulty (3 on 3 on bb, ub and no falls of course). So, gold is realistic for them in Paris.
@@wkim22 How delusional! No their vault and floor cannot be offset by their bars and beam when challenging for the gold medal. REALISTICALLY they have a chance to win silver but to win the gold they would need to be able to put more than decent scores on those two apparatuses because the US DOES NOT have any WEAK apparatuses, NONE.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 only delusional folks think US can't lose team gold. Just like in Tokyo. At least y'all got a few more months to formulate your excuses just in case US got beaten by either Italy, Brazil or China. I think US can pull it off though since Russia ain't competing.
@@jf2602very confused why you think the entire American gymnastics program is robotic. We have plenty of good dance and artistry. Every country produces robotic gymnasts. Sure we have Jade here. Russia had Akhaimova, look at Wu Ran from china, etc….
@@Exodus004 trust me I’m the last to be racist against them I love their gymnastics. But Zhou is definitely more robotic than Qiu or Ou Yushan who have more rhythm and fluidity.
I'll be happy if Chinese women's gymnastics wins three gold medals this year in team, uneven bars and balance beam, and they do have the best possibilities in those three events, I hope the US women's team wins silver again, that would make me happy
She’s coming for a BB olympic gold medal for sure .. But I wish that she takes out the tuck jump + (???) or whatever they are called, they look easy but they’re super tricky and she could fall off beam because of them
The only way she can reach +7.0 right now is using that side somi in connection, she doesn't have other place she can add safer connections. Chill down, Guan won gold in 2021 with a very tricky sideward connection as well, let's hope it'll work for her.
she never fell on it . and it's the high point of her routine as you can see from the crowd's reaction. Very original. She should NOT take that combo out!
@@wkim22yep and in both instances, both countries would hope something would have to happen U.S.A. competitors because they’re not beating a fully healthy team USA.
@@jacobmiller2663 of course there's excuses, no wonder. Whoever hits wins (unless you're Russia who can fall their ass off on beam twice in a row and still win Olympic team gold). It's how artistic gymnastics work.

@@FkaRonHonestly though, unless she upgrades, she'll probably be beat fr this time if qiu hits and gets all her connections since she has a much higher D-score and is just as clean as Simone. I don't think the biles would be a big enough boost
oh wow, chinese girls look amazing, they are really elegant on beam and such a strong performers. Their elegance and body shape reminds me of USSR and romanian girls from 70s and 80s compared to bulky girls nowadays (Simone, Rebeca, Shilese, Joscelyn Roberson which are anything but not elegant)
