These were the people. Well-read and acquainted with the language and the world in true sense. Now we have semi-literate tiktokers and awfully gossiping anchor persons just blabbering day in and day out. When was the last time someone on Pakistani TV called an author and read excerpts from their newly released book? Such a sad state of affairs.
These were the people of old, refined, cultured and educated and lets admit they had one thing in common, they were educated and brought up in India of old!
Started with legendary Zia Mohiuddin and then came funny guy Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi and then came the lady and then came greatest of all time Mehdi Hassan and this all happened in just 52 minutes no wonder why whole Pakistan loved this show and I missed last two ladies
Vow What a presentation. Alas we lost such diamonds, the gems of all times. Just see the swift n clean Urdu with elegance as well humour which is totally unavailable these days. Look at the simplicity and originality . We can only imagine how exquisite performers we had. We need to thank God, always . At least we can see as it was when we couldn’t afford TV and were so young to understand the sarcasm. 👍👍👍👍👍
R I.P Son of Pakistan We Miss You and will Always Remember your Great Performances. A True Gentleman and a True Patriotic Pakistani! 🇵🇰❤️🇵🇰❤️🇵🇰❤️🇵🇰❤️🇵🇰
Great Programme by Mr. Mohyeddin sb and so nice humour by Mr. Mushtaq Yusafi sb. Wish I was born in 1910 and die before 1979 . The era of literate and educated people. The era before Zia-ul-Haq, the era before extremists .
I migrated from Karachi 20 years ago and after watching this show, I am shell shock at the quality and deliverance of Urdu. Karachi lost its glory which is so painful.
everything lost its glory, these PPP PMLN MQM goons don't know how to run country. Ignorning merit for key appointments, bribery and corruption has ruined this great city.
Quite true. we the lucky people who saw these legends in their full farm but unluckily no other one tried to copy such style of conversation like that.
Most of the people in the audience and legends of their time are not in the world now. That feeling makes me think that how small, powerless and how naive our minds are. Allah sab ko jannat ul firdos ma jagah de or han sab ko hidayat de.
I would do ANYTHING to go back and live in the era. Amir Liaqat, Waqar Zaka, and all other shitty anchors. Ruined the Television. I wish i could meet Sir Zia Mohi Ud Din...once...................
Amir Liaquat was very talented and Waqar Zaka is very talented. There are very few people who can match their talent. Just hating some one without any good reason shows the senselessness of the comment.
There is no air- conditioning but the show goes on. It is so great to see the young women on the stage and in the audience with the 1960s hair style , dressed without the compulsions of fundamental values. Yusufi Sahib is compelled to be witty. Rest in Peace, all the departed gems of Pakistan.
This shows the border line ... Before Gen Zia's arrival we were literate and sophisticated. We lost almost everything after him. Violence, drugs, ethnic and religious divide and we fell into complete decadence. He turned Pakistan into a confused Nation . The revival of our heritage seems impossible now. Hockey, squash, PTV and our Airline were once great institutions and symbols of pride for us. What we miss is PAKISTAN-ISM
Legend intilectual Mushtaq Ahmad yuosfi. Legend comapiar ziamohiudeen , legend singer ustad Mehdi Hasan sab....no words for them, because they are great. Ghulam rasul khawaja skardu Baltistsn
My friend: The golden age of PTV is counted when General Zia-ul-Haq was the President of Pakistan. If PTV's Zia-ul-Haq era productions are put aside, there is nothing left but space. The decline we have witnessed began long after Zia-ul-Haq's rule. So you can't blame Zia-ul-Haq for everything. What miracles have we shown since his reign? Can you tell?
This was an amazing show! Absolutely loving it ❤. Beautiful people, wonderful time and happy Pakistan without air-conditioning 😊. Karachi was a city of lights! Ah, everything is changed now. Currently reading K. K. Aziz book, Murder of History. K. K. Aziz was right by saying, that, the nations who don't know their original or true history, those nations lost their way and destination 😢.
Missing those diamonds who left us , most recent is Zia Mohiddin saheb . Our country ,s situation is worse if compared to 70 and eighty . At that time cinemas were air conditioned but I see this hall has no fan or AC .
