Ziggy Marley ist der älteste Sohn von Reggae-Legende Bob Marley und selbst seit vielen Jahren ein Star - nicht nur in der Reggae-Szene. Auf seinen Alben spielt er fast alle Instrumente selbst ein.
David Nesta Marley, genannt Ziggy, bekam bereits als Kind Schlagzeug- und Gitarrenunterricht von seinem Vater. Zusammen mit drei seiner Geschwister gründete er die Band The Melody Makers, die Mitte der Achtziger ihr erstes Album veröffentlichte.
In den Nullerjahren begann der Multiinstrumentalist seine Solokarriere. Seine Alben sind allesamt sehr erfolgreich und brachten ihm zahlreiche Grammys ein. Der Vater von sieben Kindern veröffentlicht auch Musik für Kinder und hatte zahlreiche Auftritte in Spielfilmen und Fernsehserien.

Father like Son in the name of God, It's a great satisfaction for the Bob marley "lovers" who are worshipped by BOB's ever green talent, jah jah plan it... for all of us.. This album is my medicine ,it heals my mind ,body and soul. It opens up my awareness and knowledge to what this life is all about . I immediately changed my religion to (LOVE IS MY RELIGION). I designed my clothes and hats with that perfect message . Great job ziggy . ONE LOVE .

What a great performance! Ziggy's voice and looks reminds me so much of Bob. The band is excellent and so are the new songs. The two ladies have beautiful voices too. To me this have been the best reggae music presentation of Summer Jam Festival. 👍 World Revolution.⚔ Rebellion Rises 🎸🎤☮👏
