First of all, I love those Zildjian A-Custom Cymbals and I would never change to another Manufacturer. So all of my Cymbals are proof real Zildjian A Custom Cymbals!
In this video I show you how you can clean your Cymbal and rebuild the logos. After many years of playing with these Cymbals the condition of the signs getting worst and worst. I want the brilliant finish back again! A-Custom cymbals are not the cheapest ones and I pay lots of money to use those great cymbals but the condition was after 10 years heavy played so thats why I decided to clean them and restore all of the logos.
First of all you need transparent paper to depict all signs from you cymbal. If you got all logos you can clean your Cymbals as best as you can. After that you need tranferpaper and
adhesive foil. First you lay the foil then the transferpaper and above them your transparent paper with the depicted signs. Now follow the drawlines with an pencil. Now take a look on the foil underneath. Now correct the lines with an sharpie marker and cut carefully the logos with an very sharp scalpel.
Now put the foil on the right place of the cymbals and fix it with tape. By using paper around the foil you protect your cymbal from any color.
Its time to color the signs by using Edding Primer, Acryl spraycolor and clearcoat. This part takes a couple hours.
After coloring the signs remove the papers and the foilparts as well and the cymbal and the job is done. If your wand to protect your new logos for the future buy yourself rockfall foil. This foil is often used to protect cars from scratches and tiny colorholes on the front
