The simple fact that he can push a groove and not come off the hats for nearly any part of the song is what makes him such a great drummer. It's incredibly hard to keep driving that train and groove on the hats and not go over to the ride or crash for a bigger sound to separate choruses and verses. Such a talented drummer and producer. Very intentional and understands the dynamics of a song very well.
@@alihutton It causes pain when he does specific movements, not impossible that hitting the snare is one of the trigger movements and therefore he is making the faces. Arthritis is fucking horrible.
Prolly counting... Bruv's making that specific face during his hi-hat barks... Every drummer has a specific 'counting face' (if i may call that specific thing something)... That's why drummers often times looks like they make faces behind the kit... They are keeping time...
@@clover6130 thats actually not heel toe. that is just a single foot double stroke. its what you do when you dont have a double pedal ;) cool way to do those paradiddle fills between hands and feet like he is in that part
Caitlin Clark George imo is a better drummer. He understands dynamic quality a lot better and is filled to the brim with groove, playing more like a seasoned jazz player with every hit than just relying on speed and intensity.
