As a Nigerian 🇳🇬 and as an Agriculturists, the problems/challenges bedevilling the growth and food production is not farfetched, ranging from insincerity among African Government and corrupt politicians, to lack of modern technology, next is infrastructure- storages & distribution platforms and to cap it all effect of climate change. To get it right, African Government must be intentional and deliberate in formulating policies that'll reduce hunger&poverty across Africa.

You sure can. There are some pretty good agricultural colleges in the country. You should check out Blackfordby, Esigodini, Gwebi or Kushinga Phikelela (KushPhik)

it takes more than just keen young farmers the infrastructure and performance of the other services needs to support it the product no matter how good it is needs to be transported to ports and documentation processed etc etc all that has collapsed in Zimbabwe produce will be transported on roads with pot holes farmers will need to bribe customs officials to put through their export documentation on time the list goes on you are competing with much more organised countries without those challenges i really feel for those young people in zimbabwe all we can do is pray for them

They hurt themselves by being mean to white farmers. They made their bed, let them sleep in it.

Hooray! At least there's one sensible zimbabwean who did not cross the river to work on someone else's farm (and claim to be more hardworking than the locals) and earning a slave's wage. Please encourage your compatriots to see life differently instead of concentrating on South Africa.

I mean gotta study what jobs are in demand where you live... No point in getting a degree in a field where there are no jobs... Unless have the money and means to relocate to where those jobs are... Hope that guy don't got a bunch of student loan debt now...

Not sad at all. Contribution of young farmers has led the country to have one of its best wheat harvests in over 50 years. Just more accelerated investment is what is needed.

Imagine getting a college degree, not being able to find work, but rather than starting a business offering services ONLINE in the field that you studied... you instead start a farming business... because there was no work...... why didn't you go and apply for a job as a farmer... BECAUSE THERE ARE NO FARMING JOBS. YOU NEED TO START BUSINESSES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
