Step by Step Guide on how to play these: 1: Crack your knuckles 2: Drink 5 cans of RedBull 3: Drink 15 shots of coffee 4: Snort 5 lines of cocaine, each being EXACTLY 1 foot long (if you do any more, you might accidentally play Hungarian Rhapsody #2 by Liszt). Good luck.
As I'm learning it right now, I can assure you that, surprisingly, it ain't the most dificult part of the prelude, it is quite logical and "falls easily under the hand" if you see what I mean
The recording by Gershwin himself is avaible (on RU-vid or IMSLP) It's interesting to compare the score music and the performance by the composer (it's possible with certain works by Bartok, Ravel, Poulenc...) I love your channel et I spend lot of time to watch Chopin. What an enormous work you did. Thank so much.
Amazing how he plays these preludes. I gave the third one a try and uploaded it on RU-vid here on my channel. After listening to Zimerman I think I need to go back to practice =D
Yes, he did! I love the movie Humoresque. I read that Levant grated on Joan Crawford’s nerves. They mixed like oil and water, but he and John Garfield got along famously. When Garfield was shown up close playing the violin, there was actually one violinist doing the fingering and another doing the bowing as Garfield held the violin under his chin, and Levant accompanied on piano. Levant, being his usual witty self, quipped, “The four of us should go on a concert tour.” 😂
effective deviations from the score (eg. grace notes in bar 2 leading to the Aflat) and the concluding bass note. Much more idiomatic than Kissin who is also outside of what we normally associate him with.
Wow, do these stand up well after all the years gone by! Still wonderful, beautiful, exciting, innovative music! Just heard an American pianist named Norman Krieger play the second prelude just beautifully right here in Salt Lake City!
i can only play the 3rd but my advice is to GO SLOW. speed will come with time. and don't try to play the big intervals, just roll them; no-one will know. good luck! in bocca lupo x
@@santiagomorales6224Opinions on who is the best or worst in ANYTHING is neither right nor wrong. It’s just opinions. That’s why we all have a right to give one.
Your big brother is only 11 years old and you feel you can give an informed opinion about this? 😅 Like the song goes, “Come back when you grow up, girl, you’re still living in a paper doll world.”
okay like this guy just ripped a guy playing this off youtube in low quality and pirated sheet music for it that doesn't even coincide with what's actually being played
