12:30 The Burgundy knee length dress: Her hair in corn row braids look like she just left the hair shop after taking out an old weave, but not redoing her hair for the week because she's going swimming. It looks so urban and boring.The thing about ruffles running up the arm and over the shoulder is that it's too reminiscent of really hairy men. I think if you're going to do this, it needs some reworking so it doesn't remind us of very hairy men. Perhaps ruffles only on the sleeve puff? (Tiffany hi Tiffany Treacy! Yeah, of course you hate me!) Anyway, if you're going to go to so much work to make this clothing, it should protect the client from the elements and look attractive at same time. For a fall collection, you need clothing that keep the client warm as the weather cools off. So where are your jackets? Wool, waist length sports jackets for women would sell. You could wear them with your short skirts, but where are they? You have maybe one on the model wearing the turquoise pants, but the sport coat is too large, and she doesn't even put her arms in the coat so nobody can see how it looks! Where are your boots? You have the black pair with fringe, 8:50, but it overpowers the purple chiffon summer knee-length dress. Blah! I'm bored to death with this collection. Rework the collection and come back later.
9:11, No. No orange socks under spring dress with tattered edges, under turquoise wool sport coat. No. How about a knee length silk skirt in the same fabric you used, paired with a shirt in same fabric? ( The shirt you made, the one she is wearing, looks great. Everything else she has on looks horrible). Ditch the spangles. The trouble with the spangles is the damn things get caught in everything, then the fabric tears off and ruins the outfit. I know. I've already tried. They are a health Hazzard. I know you hate me. How about using the spangles on the edge of sleeves, but short, so they don't tangle?
aside from the green coat, nothing is desirable. this collection is not my aesthetic nor style not being into the Renaissance look. Zimmerman is true to the style and that's admirable but this is just undesirable.
I'm not thrilled with this collection. It has a lot of potential. Why aren't the models hair dressed? The first long dress in pink is perfect. Then the next outfit of blue shirt and shorts is hideous. Most of this collection is ugly. The pants are too tight. The skirts are too short. The collection has a lot of potential but it needs reworking.
