IMO best scene was when Hritik cried after the scuba-dive. That dive changed his character from money pursuer to life pursuer.
@sdd1563
@sdd1563 4 года назад
Yes but they trashed all that effort in the crying-after-the-dive scene when afterwards Hrithik & Katrina start talking about it all openly and explicitly and Katrina lectures him on how money is not the most important crap in the world and all that cliched trite. Loses all depth! They put good effort in depicting Hrithik tearing up after that underwater dive with underwater dive proving to be a journey of self-discovery for Hrithik's character and his hidden depths & potentials to seize the moment. And later all that effort becomes useless when Katrina's character starts lecturing him.

True that.... Amongst the superstar tag holders I find only Hrithik and ranbir a little good at holding the depth in emotions

I have noticed that the subtext loving people are generally watch a lot of movie, and they have much time to give to themselves and to think sitting silently, or they have grown too mature in noticing minor changes in other's faces in different situations. This type of people are mainly introverts or old. In India these type of people are rare due to various reasons, mainly economic and educational. This made the Indian movies mainly entertainment oriented.

plus perhaps the wide language variation - if lots of non-native and non-speakers are watching, clothes dance music etc is going to go down better - you don't go to films to suffer and study, especially if you're poor and your life is hard so it's expensive and rare
@shivamgoswami5350

Every time I watch one of your videos I end up with unexpected tears rolling down my cheeks for some reason. The part at the end of the video when you go off about what films mean to us is some straight up, no nonsense, powerful stuff. Something that I resonate a lot with. Every day I am faced with choices and crises of thought that can be effectively resolved through the use of all those vicarious experiences gained by watching and loving good films. Love, morality, life, death, happiness, nature, family, friends, history, psychology, thrill, horror, sadness, pain, etc. So many experiences and so many emotions delivered to us so that we may appreciate our lives much better, so that we may become more compassionate, kind, empathetic and loving in our quest to lead more fulfilling lives. I owe a lot to films. A lot of emotional maturity wouldn't have been possible without them. A lot of stability in an otherwise tumultuous life of a somewhat unnecessarily sensitive kid wouldn't have been possible without stories to escape to when the pain of reality became too hard to shoulder. I urge you to keep up the good work.

I think Hindi movies were learning the art of sub-text with movies like these and then as soon as 2017 began movies like Raees, Kaabil, Rangoon,Jolly LLB 2,Badrinath, Ghazi,Ok Jaanu, it is beginning to fade away again. All I see is JUST exposition. Last night I was watching a movie called Bandhan. It was on the TV, I wasn't watching it intentionally. It's like Hindi movies are going back to that age. I hope 2017 brings movies like Aligarh and Piku and ZNMD soon.

I have never felt so intrigued my entire course so far on YT. Detailed narration with supporting clips. What a masterpiece!! I have always felt the need of investing time to understand these aspects of details while watching a movie. Though with not so much background of research. But I am going to now henceforth(invest more brains to be precise). Hope Indian audience start doing it too in coming years. Awesome selection of movies for explaining the difference between text & subtext. Job well done!! Keep up the good work.
