Right on. Been listening since Venus was their first single before Mind of Matter. I've been following Zumbi's message about how you can ultimately be living a life of struggle and pain from our external forces that we face; but so many lack the will to stay strong in the mind and heart to ultimately raise up out of their darkness into a world they possibly have never experience because none had the skills or willpower to find their true strength deep in the soul we all are. See beyond into the existing world's that exist around us but we can see unable to reach enlightenment and continual peace. It's time to start living beyond our visceral reality and become light that we all can achieve to heal each other. Manifest your own destiny, follow the path of "I". First heard Zion I on a compilation. 'Poetic Mathematics' was the track. Saw em in Phx at a rave in 2000. Amp was droppin the beat in the back, Zumbi rapped out front, and I remember a female vocalist as well. Got Mind Over Matter just after. Does anyone kno how to find a copy of the Search And Seizure mixtape? I asked Zumbi himself and he doesn't even have a copy anymore if kno where to find one. I loved ya l that mix. I’m just seeing true artist that compromise true struggles in life that anyone can relate to, leaving this world to be at ease. Zumbi of Zion I and Blackalicious are the two that really imprints on my heart and mind. Their lyrics were storytelling in hip-hop. It hits hard to know they are gone but in a way it feels good to know that they left their gift behind to keep on passing their music to the youth. God bless to the two artists that were soulful with beats, rhymes and life. 🙏🏾🥲
