@@randomizedhandle he wouldn't fit....take him and then ruin him....ayton is a beast but they don't feed their bigs just Chuck three's..... Phoenix needs a guard who can spread the ball around....so yes pass on a generational player unless you're going to change your play style and play threw him
Devin mccampbell i agree ayton is underutilized and that’s more of a coaching problem, but zion isn’t a big he’s a wing w excellent passing ability and he isn’t ball dominant so he’d be able to focus defensively and play through dbook who’s actually getting better at being a facilitator this season. and if the suns didn’t want to draft zion they shouldn’t take ja #1, they should trade down to #2 and get assets from whoever wants zion
@@thenman23 No I wouldn't, height and shooting are op this year so i'd have a 6"9 speedboosting small forward with a+ shooting stats, amd good inside scoring. Thats basically KD not zion
I just worry that he is undersized. For him to reach his peak potential, he will have to be a monster in the paint. I can see his shot getting blocked a lot by longer players.
@@omieg89 Charles Barkley is 6'6", Dennis Rodman is 6'7", Draymond Green is 6'7". He's got the tenacity to match his athleticism, he won't get bullied.
@@daniellee3507 True, All I see is knee injury from this guy. Sure he is young and have yet to reach his prime but all this performance comes at a cost.
He knows how to finish, and is a very smart player but these Jordan comparisons are cracking me up. Watch a Jordan college highlight video, he was always above the rim, Zion's greatest plays are off the rim, he barely has his hands over the rim when he dunks, Jordan's head was over the rim so often you'd think he was 7 feet tall. His combine vertical is still the highest in NBA history at 48, Lebron's was 44. Think about it, Jordan's feet were nearly 4 feet off the ground!
@Earl Rogers well, he just started... give him more years to improve himself.... with hard work, i believe he may become the next Jordan Although, Zion play style is quite dangerous and easily expose to injuries
Earl Rogers if anything Zion has been underrated. Coming into college everyone said that his competition in high school was too weak, but he overcame that narrative and absolutely destroyed his competition in the NCAA.
he's similar to lebron in that when he decides to go to the rim, no one is stopping his momentum it's either he makes the shot or gets fouled. unstoppable
keep in mind that he;s playing against college kids.. i'm not saying he won'r be good in the nba but there's a big difference between the guys he's going up against in college and going up against Anthony Davis or LeBron James or Giannis, etc
Christian all imagine criticizing a kid that’s 18 going into the league because he doesn’t play to your expectation... imagine hating on a kid that got into the league at a young age dropping bucks even if it’s dunks
Christian all and I’m sure he doesn’t believe he’s another shaq... it’s just the way he plays. So because someone is dominate in the post; your gonna say he run a be another Shaq???
Yo, people comparing him physically to a human. Nah, search up Roger the Kangaroo. That's your comparison. He got hops, he got strength and he got speed. He doesn't have human genetics.
He is amazing yes. One of the best prospects in recent years? Sure I'll give it to him. But to be said to be top 10 in the nba already? No. Trade Lebron for him? No. He is amazinggg, but some people do overhype him, which leads many to dislike him, or say he is overrated
@@liammahoney1748 His point was how ridiculous some of the things people were saying were. And then you went and proved him correct by agreeing with one of the ridiculous examples he gave. You don't trade one of the best players in the NBA for ANY draftee. You can trade an aging star for a young star who's proven himself on the big stage, but never for a kid who hasn't even stepped foot on an NBA court. Period.
Its gonna be exciting seeing that connection develope. Exciting times ahead for the Pelicans and the fans. That kid is box office attraction. Pels will be in primetime a lot!
Kinda funny how some people say that "he's just another Julius Randle" . Randle alone could average 22-24 points and 10 boards a game if utilized correctly; add crazy athleticism, passing & dominance and you'll have Zion. Now tell me this Kid ain't a generational talent. P.s Welcome to the Pelicans, Zion
He has great physical tools, I consider him the Mike Vick of the NBA. The game comes very easy to him and he's gifted. There's no reason Vick shouldn't have been better than Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but he just didn't put the time or work in. It's really up to Zion who he wants to be. We see it every year from prospects. They either put the work in or they don't. Kobe was talented, but a lot of players were, what separated him is he worked like someone was coming for his spot constantly and it showed--he maximized his talents. I hope Zion does the same.
I agree. But based on what I see, Zion is driven to be great, he doesn't just play for fame; he does it with all his heart. His passionate with the game, which would most of the time reflect on his work ethic. Nothing but high hopes for this Guy!
I hope the Pelicans put tons of shooters and vets around him. This kid can be something very special if the right coaching and players are around him. If im the Pels im trading AD for two other solid starters ( Jalen Brown, Jayson Tatum and future first round picks). If i could also get Marcus Smart in that trade i would, the celtics are desperate...
That team would be hella nasty especially as a rookie #1 pick having a team that solid is rare. Plus their defense would be great because you still have Jrue.
How is nobody talking about this guy?? I just found out about him cuz this video & I just hope he can stay healthy and make it to the league one day. He reminds me of a young Steve Nash the way he elevates
NBA Animations that shit getting hella old now KD is gonna go down as one of the greatest players of all time most likely top 15 or 10 he already in the hall of fame & his career isn’t even done yet 😂
@@shawswervoo Kemp was never the player that Zion is. He never had anything like his feel for the game. Athletically he was almost on par, though. Zion reminds me more of Barkley in his young 76ers days. A human wrecking ball with a great feel for the game as well.
He reminds me so much as julius randle. But just more athletic defensively. There offense is the same in which they always go left and power through their defenders. Zion just can jump out this world and is faster tho. It really isnt a bad comparison cause randle is really starting to expand his game now in new orleans too
Can you imagine what this kids body will look like once he's 26-29? He's not even turning 19 til July! That's mind-blowing to me. Closest comp I can up with is Bo Jackson
*Can you imagine what he will look like with professional nutrition and trainers making him even more lean and still cut up like crazy.. The advance training at pro level is on a whole new level now & days*
I don't see him being the same kind of athlete when he's that age unless he significantly slims down. He needs to be able to keep that weight off, too.
He's a lefty like Zach Randolph. Big bruiser but has a finesse game to him. I call em a Skywalker and a thumper. Explosive athlete and can dominate on both ends of the floor.
Tbh idk if he's gonna be doing this in the NBA only because I notice when he wants to score inside he's always looking to use his exceptional jumping ability to get the rim.. He gotta work on his post on game then he will truly be a force
Think he will be the first player since shaq in his prime to dominate the league based on pure power and athleticism, this guy is a freak. If he adjusts well and improves his game year to year, he will revolutionize the league
This young man is the real deal! Decision making, smart movements off the ball, basketball IQ is on the same level of the nba superstars! He will be the best player on the Pelicans for sure. Pelicans are going to be top 15 in defense after 60 games. Lonzo is an very good defender Ingram plays good defense as well. Lonzo Ingram and Zion can play point guard. I think they'll go overlook and they end up finishing 6th in the West
Guess what folks he will be bigger than anybody in the NBA also. 285 is 285. 47 inch vertical is a 47 inch vertical. You people act like once you get to the league your play against 9 foot 500 pound guys. Taco Fall was 7 ft 7 and 300 pounds. How did he do. Held Zion to what 33?
@@matthewjohnson3022 you are the only one who thinks that way... The game in ncaa is far different in the nba.. do you get that ? And beside the player in nba is far more experience than in ncaa.. i just to clear it I'm not a hater dude . !
That's fine the last three players that had this much hype going into the NBA was Lebron, Anthony Davis and Kevin Durrant. You see a pattern here. All of them lived up to the hype and exceeded the hype. Zion will be no different
One thing a lot of you forget its not only all about Zion. Its really all about the Teams Chemistry. The longer they play together, the more coordinated they'll be. It'll get to the point where much doesn't have to be said on court for them to get the job done. When Lebron first joined the heat, the reason they didn't win the first year out the gate was because of Team Chemistry. After that summer together that team was a team full of brothers who knew each other's strengths and weaknesses.
His ceiling is a Super athletic Draymond. That's a Mvp type player. Just imagine the versatility and with his size he can legit do what Draymond can't guard centers
