That’s false everyone wanted Him to lose some weight so he can stay healthy but yet he never listened an just gained more weight which is why he’s always injured. An everyone knew if he didn’t change he’s ways he’s gonna be another amazing player who never gets to play. No hate just facts when it comes to basketball
If I always call out of work it's fair to say I'm a bad employee. This man said "the world thinks I'm injury prone and I can't help that they think that." 😂😂😂
To be fair to Zion it actually is something he can’t help, and it’s in his best interest to not see himself as injury prone, even though that’s what he has been so far.
@@ashantinyongo7632it is his fault he NEEDS to lose weight people have been saying it since before he got drafted. He needs to slim down to help himself out so his legs aren't being destroyed.
-Dolores Huerta (1930-) “Every single day we sit down to eat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and at our table we have food that was planted, picked, or harvested by a farm worker. Why is it that the people who do the most sacred work in our nation are the most oppressed, the most exploited?”
Any star is going to want to go to a major market like NY or Cali. You're going to make signifigantly more cash playing there due to the greater exposier, letting you make more cash beyond your salary. I have lived abroad on and off over the last 10 years. The only gear you typically see in foreign countries is teams like the Lakers and Nets. When you have the whole world wanting to buy your jersey you're earning are going to shoot up real quick.
I honestly miss players like Jordan and Kobe. Their mindset was way different from today's NBA. They were in the gym non-stop improving their game. All the stories I've heard about these players. And there are reasons why these 2 men are HOF champions.
I don´t know how old you are...but the NBA mentality back then was totally different across the board. Back then players had a sense of pride to be NBA players. Today many of these kids in the NBA become nationally known when they´re in highschool. Also...one major things that´s missing is that no one explains to these kids what situation they are in. Role model, entertainer, team player and so on. And how to take care of their bodies. Have a good day.
@@dbearded130 Well I'm not talking about his prime, I'm talking about when he entered the league..before he was told to lose weight..He didn't want to get drafted by Philly and the organization asked him to drop down to 285..he went to Denny's to binge and gained 20lbs in 48 hours just so they wouldn't draft him..he was at 302lbs ..check it out, the story is just a google search away !
Hardly being injured???? 2021 51 games played and missed a game in the playoffs, last year got injured in the playoffs 2020 missed 22 games, 16 this year... 😂😂 He played 65 games 2x... This year 66 and last year 68... But for hurt in the playoffs...
@@cedricasdfghjkl9151 every time? Lol Half the league is injury prone now, it's ok lol plus load managment.... Most players play around 60 games now... But let's not say they are not injury prone... Then we are callin them liars..... The difference is zion can't play a full month.... And won't unless he loses weight.... Dude needs to drop to 250-255...
That's why contracts shouldn't be guaranteed. Should be based on performance and games played. Bet that'll change how many people are actually going through something.
@@deesplash7087 not really when you consider James harden old antics. Yes he was there to play but was he really giving it his all all out of shape and everything? Nope lol
Good luck getting the union to ever agree to that. You MIGHT be able to get them to agree to a minimum game requirement to guarantee just a portion of the contract, but you’d have to give them something big like removing the game requirement for awards and all star nominations, more paid benefits, and probably even remove the hard cap entirely like in baseball. Basically things that probably not all of the owners, especially small market ones, will be on board with, which would lead to a lockout.
@@Mrqq-jx2ox Yeah, players already have too much power nowadays, just look at KD, he signed a 4 year deal and immediately forced his way out of town regardless of the committment. And we have Adam Silver to thanks for that because of how friendly he want to be to the players.
When I used to live in Spartanburg SC I used to go to spartan burg day Highschool to watch this man play. Lines out the door. In tucking Highschool. Man was crazy
I shed no tears for these teams that KNOW what's going to happen BUT sign these players to ludicrous money anyways.. NO should have traded his arse long ago - as with any team that signs Kyrie or trades for Ben Simmons..
everyone before the draft: dude looks great, but his body cant go through the physicality of the NBA Zion: Im a fatass, and i cant help it. i cant play
Well, it shouldn't matter what he wants, he got drafted. If players are just gonna sit out because they feel like it or because they don't like the team theyre on while making oodles of money, the NBA is in big trouble, but this is already being echoed. Jordan got drafted to Bulls, did he want to go there, who knows, but he made it work
@@haroldsfishingadventures754 But players start to get more power though. You would never imagine someone who just signed a long-term deal would demand a trade, but KD did and forced a trade to the Suns. Other players will start to get what they want really soon, and I wont be shock if those high draft pick will get to choose their team as well sooner or later..
Zion Williamson needs to incorporate a lot more RUNNING into his workouts. Plain and simple. If he ran at least 6 miles per day, 5 days a week, he wouldn't have the problems he has now.
The problem is pro athletes overall get paid too much and the system is too willing to give it up. It makes for an environment where athletes think of themselves too highly and their agents/family thinking they’re indispensable to society. Seriously?! Life will go on. Sometimes we need to be appreciative for what we’re handed in life and give more than we want to take.
@@20trillion That's true as well. It doesn't mean these athletes/entertainers are not being overvalued. In general, it's a problem with modern society. So many people don't contribute much value to humanity, but we reward them because of our society's misplaced values in superficial and unimportant things. And when society does too much of that, it creates soft people. But the entire culture is unsustainable, and so it will eventually collapse. People will look back at America like we look at Rome.
@@scratchpenny I was an athlete in track and football we don't even get a normal childhood when students go home athletes have to practice and study and the real talent doesn't make it ... overseas u can get paid at 15 instead of wasting time in school
@@20trillion I am not saying that athletes have no value, just that they are overpraised/overvalued and not as important as they think. For example, the whole point of professional athletics is to entertain people. That's it. They don't save lives. They don't set policy. They don't even build or create anything. They are not out here doing the most critical roles in society. But just like actors, they receive far too much attention because of our misguided cultural values where we worship fame and celebrity. It's the same thing with people like the Kardashians or Instagram models. These types offer little to nothing to improve society, but they get treated like they are vital. That's why I said the culture is unsustainable. It's all built on superficial perceptions rather than actual production. At least athletes have real skills, though.
Greg Oden all over again. He should sign as big as a contract as possible & retire in a few years. He's already lost a bunch off his vertical leap, if you compare to college before all his injuries. He's going to be Blake Griffin of today soon enough.
@@jandt3463 that’s a good example. It is closer to Kahwi from a national sports media perspective. The D Rose situation and details were more specific in Chicago media as I think about it more
Pelicans need to TRADE him, the longer he refuses to play his value will plummet. They might consider a trade with the Kings, they me be in desperate need to get another star player to help out Fox & Sabonis. I’m sure they got picks the Pelicans could use. You don’t want Zion to turn into Ben Simmons
New Orleans needs 2 find uh thirsty franchise that's desper8 4 sum fools gold & git all u can 4 Zion ina trade...even if it's in tha same damn division. Zion ain't that dude & that trade ain't gunna end up bitin' u in tha end. U should b able 2 git more than what Utah got 4 Gobert...✌🏽😁❤🏀
Yeah, he cant "escape" it but he can "FIGHT IT" by being on the court. Win or lose, just have to fight it and play on the court.(unless its a serious injury)
GET RID of guaranteed contracts! Pay performance-based like every other job. I don't see how they can continue to pay guys obscene amounts of generational wealth (directly from fans' pockets) no matter what.
Pels are inexplicably keeping a perfectly able bodied player from playing. It’s like keeping a leash on a dog it’s whole life and saying ‘well if I take the leash off he’ll run off and hurt himself’ not realizing that the leash is exactly what’s hurting it. LET THE GUY PLAY
