This was the first time I ever filmed Zion Williamson in high school. Was in the Atlanta area covering various teams and players in 2017 and decided to shoot up to South Carolina to see the human highlight reel in person. It was worth every penny.

That little kid was an eighth grader at the time. Bryson Bishop, now a senior and he’s 6’1. SCISA player of the year last year and he led them to a state title last year. I think he commited to play college ball at Charleston Southern. Crazy to see what has transpired since this video.

Zion showed a lot of restraint. He literally was a man among boys. He could have just parked under the basket and collect dunks but he was smart. He worked on his passing, dribbling, and outside shot.

One thing he did a lot in HS he hardly does now in the NBA is take mid range shots right over the defenders likely because they were usually only about 6ft and he didn't even need a pump fake to rise up for the shot.
