The only thing this video is missing is the g forces you experience in this ride, and holding onto the cage bars for your life.

I was going on this ride thinking it wasn't going to be too bad, next thing I know, I screaming out for God and Jesus.

my friend and I rode this and we got six consecutive flips. the cart was dusty and had "god help us" written on it.

the zipper isn't scary until the ride decides to turn 360, omg I cry & scream whenever it does that

Yeah this ride is wild it looks fun and it looks like you can handle it, but when you get on you have second opinions

That high-pitched mechanical whine that all Zippers have is music to my ears. Love it!

I love the noise the ride makes as its being operated ....the ride also looks beautiful at night!

When I rode this with my sister and my cousin for the first time, we legit thought we were dead. My cousin kept telling me and my sister that he loved us. He even cried. 😂

I got sick just from watching this video. This is probably the only amusement ride I won't dare get on.

This video makes me shudder. I've been on one of these 3 times, and I refuse to do it anymore. the one that comes to my town is full of rust and the cage doors are basically fastened by a Bobby pin.

I went on it yesterday and it was so scary I closed my eyes for the whole time lol so it's cool to see what it looks like

First time I went on it I was screaming "Get me off this thing" then my sister Maori said to me "ok the ride is over" She DID NOT tell me the ride goes backwards upon learning that I screamed even louder

me and my sister went on this ride 7 consecutive times the evening before we went back home to new york. the guy running it thought we were insane 😂😂

Went on this once as a jr high kid thinking it looked fun. Yup. This ride is straight outta the pits of hell. Never again.

This is my favorite ride

Trust me this ride is not boring at all. I went with my friend and we were laughing at how lame this ride was from afar. So we went on it to do our normal routine of complaining how terrible the ride we are riding is. (Yes. We are losers.) So we were shocked because there were no seat belts, you partially sit, and they just locked us in this crammed box (It was cushioned inside). It felt terrible, I bet thats how a wild animal feels when they get caught. Anyway we were still giggling until the ride started..... Never again. I'd rather be on a roller coaster because at least that is scary fun. The Zipper? It was just scary and totally felt unsafe.

I love how the cameraman was able to film the entire ride pov *outside* of the cage without screaming

Wow, this video makes you realize how insane this ride would be if they somehow got rid of the cages and put in modern restraints. Of course, then you'd completely change the experience of the ride away from grabbing on to that handle and trying to keep your head from slamming into the cage.

When I was a kid in the 1960's The Zipper and The Skydiver were my "go too" rides at the fair. What great memories. Thanks for the video.

if you out is full screen and your sitting on a chair lean back on it and just stare and focus on your screen it feels like your on it a lil bit

I went on one of these a long time ago and have never gotten sicker on a ride than I did on this. It was a torture I didn't want to repeat. At least this one seems smoother and in better shape than most.

I went on this ride at 10 years old with my 13 year old friend and the next I know she's screaming HOLY F*** OMG OMG OMG OMG OHH MY F*** LORD JESUS SAVE MEEEE

I remember the second time I went on this ride was with my sister at a local carnival near my hometown. My parents were initially reluctant to let us go on it. Unbenknownst to them, I had already gone on it at the Wisconsin State Fair on a solo trip to visit my Grandparents a couple years before. When I told my Dad this, he said., "You have been on that- and you still have your stomach?!" 😄

Oh, my goodness, I love this! The whirring sound always gets me. Nothing else like it!

I like tilt a whirl and the Himalaya! Rollercoasters and super loop(which is now called ring of fire). NOT zipper! I rode it a couple times and it kept bashing my head on the bars whenever the cart spun upside down and it also felt like I was being tossed into outer space!

Ah, the next best thing to being there! Love this ride!! I love how you can see when you're coming to the next wheel - will I flip - YES!!

I just went on this ride last night, and I'm one of those people who can barely handle roller coasters, so I was so nervous, but all of my friends wanted me to go, so I did. BEST👏TIME👏OF👏MY👏LIFE! It's not bad at all!! And that comes from someone who only started to like roller coasters last year (I'm 13 btw)

I miss this ride so much. Can't wait to ride it again once the fair arrives!

It looks so peaceful on the outside until you are actually in it. I mean it’s fun don’t get me wrong but it’s a lot tougher than you think

whenever i go on that ride I makes sure to bring people that dont weigh much (more weight the more it flips)

This will always be the best flat ride of all time! totally unpredictable and always a rush! for me no other ride comes close. Sadly these are rarely seen in my neck of the woods!

I've been on the Zipper Several Times, traveling Zippers are Common in Minnesota, we have 2 that come to the Steele County Fair each year

The best and most terrifyingly fun ride ever. I rode it twice in a row and four times in two days. It’s the best really. Definitely TERRIFYING but very fun.

If there's one ride where I will always feel terrified just watching the video then it would be the Zipper. This brings back a lot of the terror that I used to have for my youth. I've done a lot of the mega coasters but the zipper will always being the top three scariest rides in my head. This is really a great video I'm just wondering where you would mount the camera and the permissions you would need.

This is one of the best and thrilling carnival rides. It's better than many theme park rides. My favorite carnival ride is the Flying Bobs(led) carousel/coaster. It may go by other names. I also like the Scrambler and Gravitron

Update: The Zipper is no longer at Trimper’s Rides. It was retired in 2019.

Back in the 70s, this was my sister's favorite ride. She finally was able to drag me on it one time. i don't remember much except screaming and begging for the ride to stop. I was pissed at my sister because as terrified as I was, it just made her laugh even more. So yes, I went on this ride once. Once.

I talked about this ride every time my family would vacation in OCMD.

I have a unique relationship with this ride my mom worked at the fair for 20 years me being 27 i now take my siblings and friends on it to see how tough they are on it when you first walk up to it your like this wont be that bad looks fun the scariest part for me was the ominous roar until you got in the cage and realized the person who assembled it is the one locking up the cage and you get rid of the nerves of i hope they did a double check of the assembly but I have never once been injured so I trust the operator and just decide to get through it I love this ride it’s amazingly terrifying but after the experience you have memories that will last a lifetime I hope everyone has a good experience
