Zippo - Real vs Fake 

A "fake" would still say Zippo, but other brands of windproof lighters are not fakes.

Those lighters came free when you bought 2 packs of camel cigarettes.

It's just a different brand, not fake at all

The sailor jerry lighter hinges just slide into a track. So the lid and the body are just technically pressure fit via the hinge. I hope that helps

Zippo slims are the same height as other Zippos they however are not as wide at one time all Zippos were the same size but had a slightly different shape based on when it was made

the sailor jerry isn't meant to be a zippo replica. iIt's just another wick lighter. I have one to given to me from a family member.

ACTUALLY, it says made in China, so I think its made in China. Actually!

I have both the real and the fake sailor jerry zippo, the fake is honestly not that bad it might be just as well made as the real zippo I just bought it to do tricks with and is seems to do great so far.

I have a zippo I got as a kid in 1977, it does not have the relieved cam. I also have one I bought back in 1993 and it does not have the relived cam. Not all Zippos have a relieved cam.

hi owen, need some help if you read this as its a very old video. recently i saw an ebay seller named gerin6. his list of zippo lighters is larger than the official website zippo.com and also the prices on his zippos are 40 percent lesser than the actual price at the website. how is this possible??

It's not and does not in anyway claimed to be a zippo. How can it be a fake.

Hay bud been watching alot of your videos an love the collection by the way, but I just got to say with this it's not really a fake. It isn't trying to rip off zippo in any way. In my eyes and opinion, if it was a "fake" it should at least try to have the zippo logo? It doesn't anywhere say zippo so I wouldn't expect zippo quality. Yet if it had a zippo stamp on the bottom and on the insert then I would classify it as a fake zippo but it's just a cheap zippo to me. Keep up the zippo videos though as I love most of them (favourite it bottems up) hope to speek soon.

I have a 2000 zippo and it's real but it doesn't have that good ping because it's well used and it doesn't have the chips/scratches and it's complete real I got it brand new from a friend and I was the first to fill it and strike it

well if it dose not say its a zippo then its not a fake, then ints just a lighter and it dose not say zippo and it says made in CHINA so no its not a fake ZIPPO

I have that exact lucky zippo and now I'm afraid that it is fake .-.
