Zippo Rechargeable Electric Arc Lighter Insert Review: Other Useful Mechanisms Vol. 19 

I will say, in addition to being truly windproof and easily rechargeable, it lights cigarettes (of whatever variety 😏) just fine when you put the tip of the cigarette directly into the plasma arc. Fits perfectly into my patent number marked 1941 replica case and makes a great "retro-meets-modern" EDC lighter!

Electric inserts in a vintage Zippo are reminiscent to the Jaguar E-Type with an electric engine. Old car, new electric engine. Old lighter, new electric insert. Thing is just though, having to replace the battery once it wears out and where to get those replacement batteries. Would be interesting to see those new inserts from Zippo inserted on a Barcroft or a Lady Bradford Table Lighter.

There seems to be trick to using them right if you work at it. You wonder if they designed them wrong because they work quite darn well if you get the knack.

Why didn't you light anything with it?

I've always been intrigued by the Arc inserts, but 200mah doesn't seem like enough for daily use, I still wanna snag one lol

My 1999 zippo has those humps. Looks just like your older one.

Went hunting for fluid for my chrome blue (mini size-wont fit) d mottled brass one and orange matte plus all the others. I've got another arc lighter already but it's a stick format and is pretty crap at holding a charge. If anyone can. Do it right hopefully it's zippo. In any case I'll be finding out around 2pm. I guess we do need to get right down on it with this one too eh? Ah well screw it, if it holds a charge im happy. These arc lighters are the only actual windproof ones. (Zippos don't work in hurricanes too good. Most of em. The chrome blue is a little better and the old school smaller size still has it my favorite

Watching this video on the 25th in 2022, only a day after it was uploaded last year.

The plastic around "arc beam" is melting from my cigarettes being shoved down it. So im inhaling burnt plastic everytime. Kinda worrisome. Wish zippo would fix it. Or make end metal.

I have three eletric zippo inserts and two out of the three I can take in and out of there case easily. one I can't its like it's stuck. Is there anything I can do to make this one easier to take in and out the case?

Can’t light a pipe…cigs have to be shoved into the arc, crapping up the lighter…1/10 at best.

This is soo idiotic, the main purpose why zippo was such a hit was because of its flame using a very old most ancient technology of lanterns. Being successful in making them smaller

Didn't need all the history just show how works and blah blah and things we can light it with and how many lights can u do I didn't kids can't play with these types of lighters is it bad if they do no wonder they cried when touch ing it duhhh bro why 21 and up to buy And can u let a kid play with matches strike anywhere right
