My name is Rishi Verma and I am a fifth generation jeweller. In today’s video we are going to talk about Zircon (Jarkan), its benefits, introduction, price, origin and most importantly where and how it is used.
Zircon is a very beautiful white coloured crystal stone. This is also available in blue, green, red and yellow colour. Zircon is a stone of Venus (Shukra). If according to Vedic astrology your zodiac sign is Taurus then you can wear this stone.
Talking about Zircon, Diamond and Zircon look similar. If I put a Zircon and a Diamond in one hand and ask any layman which one is diamond and which one is Zircon then they won’t be able to tell the difference. There are a lot of Indian brands which use Cubic Zircon in jewellery. So do not confuse it with Zircon because Zircon is natural and found under the earth whereas Cubic Zircon is made in a lab.
Its benefit is that it increases the power of attraction. When you see a diamond or zircon, it looks very attractive. Similarly it has the same property.
If I talk about the price of original stone, it starts from Rs. 700 to Rs. 4000 a ratti depending upon the size and quality of the stone. Talking about the origin, there are a lot of countries where it is found. However, its mining is done in South East Asia and Sri Lanka.
The most important factor - from which lab you should get it certified. First of all I request you not to perform such tests that are shown on youtube since it is an inexpensive stone.
You can get it certified from any lab for your own satisfaction. You will find government authorised labs in Jaipur or Delhi or from GJEPC certified labs.
